The falls were nice and the water was definitely refreshing after the hike from Blancaneaux. As others mentioned, once you get here there are a number of steep steps to get down to (and out from) the falls - these were mostly manageable. Water was cool for this time of year but not too bad (I'm sure it's amazing during the summer). The hike from Blancaneux takes 45 to 60 minutes and I would classify it as an intermediate level of hiking - you'll need to be moderately active in order to do it.

This was a surprise trip planned by my partner and he couldn't have planned a better trip. Big Rock Falls is definitely a gem off the beaten path but when you arrive... the journey will be all worth it. This natural wonder is a spectacular site and as a local I was proud to experience what millions of tourist travel far to enjoy. This natural wonder was an experience I will cherish.
