About
Stand Up Paddling, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Stand Up Paddle Surfing or 'SUP' is the fastest growing sport in the USA. Imagine an enlarged surf board that's big enough to stay completely out of the water. Now put a paddle in your hands, and you've got Stand up Paddling. When you stand up, its almost like walking on water.

A great way to spend a hot Texas day is SUP (Stand up Paddle boarding )! Look for Kyle, the owner/operator of Hill Country Paddle Sports, and his trailer with paddle boards and kayaks at Boerne Lake park near the boat ramp. With a few easy instructions, off you go, so relaxing & fun!

These guys are super friendly and easy going. Affordable rentals and lots of fun. We showed up and got a double kayak and two paddle boards, no waiting. Great day on the lake.

Date day with the hubby! $20 per hour plus entry fee to the park. A little pricey but lots of fun to try something new. Friendly staff!

If I could rate them a zero I would.... I’ve rented from this guy before, and the owner is a total jerk! Today when I walked up and saw the “owner” I knew he’d be a jerk again. Sure enough, he was! I asked him to RENT a paddle because I accidentally left mine at home. His immediate response was no, go figure. He proceeded to tell me that he only has enough paddles for the boards he has, which is around 50-60 boards. I’ve been a long time resident of Boerne and have been coming to Boerne Lake for years.... I can tell you I have never, ever seen that many paddle boards out on the lake at the same time. He is obviously irritated that we are not renting boards from him, instead we bought our own. Regardless I offered to pay to rent a paddle for the day. I spent the entire day at the lake and I can tell you he didn’t rent all his boards out at today. The neighborly thing to do would have been to rent me a paddle so he wins and I win, but here I am writing this review. I assure you we will never ever rent anything from this jack@$$ again! Maybe he should listen to his wife and be kind and more respectful to his customers and his fellow neighbors.
