This place has been beautifully restored. Nice little place in a small town. If you cannot make it to a concert go for a movie. You will be glad you did.

Old COOL theater...back to it's original glory. GOOD OLE DAYS! They also show the story of the rebuilding of it after the show....and sometimes they show cartoons after like the good ole days! Great flicks....very nostalgic. PLUS...you can rent the place out for parties or your own viewing, or dances? Just a great space where they care about supporting local! PLUS it's just down the road from the Texas Big Worm Pumpkin Patch-which is the best family run LOCAL patch there is! (Weekends F,S,Sun, in Octobers!)
Get your calendars out.....Support little Bertram! (Bring cash....tickets are a whopping $5 each! Snacks are SUPER reasonable too!!!)

As a lifelong resident of the Bertram area I am extremely happy that the Globe Theatre is now opened again! I have been here many times for concerts and movie nite, so much fun with the family!

First, the area is part of my ancestry but it has been decades since I returned. And what an amazing surprise - Bertram is still a tiny town yet has a standout attraction with the Globe Theater. A group of us drove in to the area from different directions to see Reckless Kelly in concert and literally fell in love with the old ambiance of the area. The Globe has the glass ticket booth out front and the inside sends you back to days of long long gone theaters and it is wonderful. Great concert, great concert venue and wonderful evening all around.

I grew up in the area and saw the Globe sit empty and unloved for years. Always made me sad as I love cinema and especially love the early theaters. I was so pleased to hear that they had begun remodeling and was thrilled when they opened.
I visited recently on a double date with my parents and my boyfriend and was SO IMPRESSED with what they had done with the place.
The building has been restored to its former glory and great care was taken in preserving the original details and feel of an old movie house. They run a great program of children's films and old favorites (we caught a screening of Big Jake and it was so great to see a Western the way they were intended to be enjoyed!). Tickets and snack prices are incredibly affordable. Honestly, the whole experience is a breath of fresh air and I'm so glad that this gem has come to Bertram.

This is an incredible historic small town theater. Opened in the 1930's, the theater retains all of it's original charm. This is a true gem. They have live performances and show old movies. The prices are good and so are the concessions which include beer and wine. You'll have a great night!

Really great venue! The Globe theater originally opened in the 1930's, but was closed in the 1980's. It is now remodeled and offering concerts of mostly Texas bands. They also frequently show old movies. It is so fun to see these old movies in the setting they were intended. They serve beer and wine and typical theater snacks. My family really enjoyed our night out!

My husband and I discovered this little gem when we moved to Bertram. We have been several times for old movies (they show classic up to ones 15-20 years old) and to one concert. The prices are inexpensive, they have beer, wine and concessions. It is a lovely restored old theatre and a great time. Just note it can get warm in the summer even with AC (this happened at a concert but it was August) and it is cash only. We’re already looking forward to our next trip to a movie or concert!

Only $5 a ticket, and the young owner made us feel welcome immediately. It’s a small theater with small upholstered seats and a balcony. The Art Deco lights, signage, and painted walls impressed my art teacher friend. The ticket taker was a nice elderly man who explained the tall box he put the ticket scraps in is a relic from the theater’s original days. As we were choosing seats, the other guests were so friendly, we were cutting up with them as if they were old friends. The theater owner had trivia slides showing about the movie we were about to see. I wish the slides could have transitioned a little slower, because some slides had several paragraphs. The movie was great —The Last Picture Show— which looked onscreen like the little theater where we sat. I was there with friends, but it would have been even better for a getaway date. I got a cool tee-shirt before I left and outside the theater, several people were happily snapping photos of the establishment. This would be worth the drive for Georgetown, Leander, Burnet, or Marble Falls folks. Austin residents would love it if they stay at a B&B nearby.

Just attended the Winter Dance Party 1959 celebration for the second time. Great music, happy staff, and everybody dances - all ages. Reminds me of the little town I grew up in where the whole family went to the party. If you've never been to this great tribute event, you need to go learn more about Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and The Big Bopper. There is a food truck available, and popcorn and wine inside, but you'll have time to eat at a local cafe if you choose then look at the classic cars before you go in. Don't be late or you won't get a seat. It was sold out.
