Yep, it's a bar, dimly lit and still welcomes smokers, little has changed since I first came here about 40 years ago. Cold beer, free jam session on Saturday afternoon. You won't find a wine list or drink menu. Dance floor complete with sawdust. Family friendly, great prices and just plain fun.

The most amusing little bar in cowboy capitol of the world. You need to have a beer here (or two) and put a quarter to music machine to dance on a floor cover with wood dust. And don't forget to examine what is on the walls!

What a fantastic time we had. Was told by another friend we needed to stop in at the "Silver Dollar" . It was a girls trip for them and they brought back a video. " Hoot" was in the video and we had to meet him. We went after a few days being in the Hill country, had an awesome... More

This is a "must do" in Bandera, it is a genuine Texas saloon, the folks are a very welcoming group and the beer is cold, and there is a kind of living history of Arkey Blue who is a bit of a country and western singer, he is occasionally seen at the bar.

Arkey Blue's is living history for Bandera, the Cowboy Capital of the World. Arkey Blue's is underground and fascinating. They serve beer and wine and Monday nights the locals sit around and jam. Arkey Blue himself is seen in there late nights and he is a true legend. If you are ever in Bandera, Arkey Blue's is a place that... More

Been there for entertainment a few times, Good music, cold beer. bathroom are always dirty, Seating benches are very poorly placed very crowded. Music extremely loud, rough tables go at your own risk, very popular place due to their western music.

This is my favourite bar in Bandera, probably one of my top 5 in the world. Whether it's a busy night with a band or a quiet evening of locals performing, it's well worth experiencing. The beer is cold, the music is good and the staff are brilliant. Everyone makes you feel really welcome - even when you're clearly the... More
