Arkey Blue's is living history for Bandera, the Cowboy Capital of the World. Arkey Blue's is underground and fascinating. They serve beer and wine and Monday nights the locals sit around and jam. Arkey Blue himself is seen in there late nights and he is a true legend. If you are ever in Bandera, Arkey Blue's is a place that... More

Been there for entertainment a few times, Good music, cold beer. bathroom are always dirty, Seating benches are very poorly placed very crowded. Music extremely loud, rough tables go at your own risk, very popular place due to their western music.

This is my favourite bar in Bandera, probably one of my top 5 in the world. Whether it's a busy night with a band or a quiet evening of locals performing, it's well worth experiencing. The beer is cold, the music is good and the staff are brilliant. Everyone makes you feel really welcome - even when you're clearly the... More

Stopped by in the middle of the week to check out the town. Silver dollar was super friendly and we got to try some real ranching beans and stew

It's ok if you like partying in a crowded basement with your grandparents and all their friends. Band was mediocre. Dance floor is almost nonexistent. Not enough room to play pool on the pool table. I'd skip this place if you're a non smoker.

Very old bar. Lots of nostalgia. Very nice people. Beer and wine only. Loved it. Steep stairway upon entering. Serves fresh popped popcorn. Older locals there having a beer. Good times

This is claimed to be the oldest honky-tonk in Texas. From the street, it is almost hard to find. The door that leads downstairs to the bar is the only indication that there is anything between the stores on either side. Once downstairs, you have a yesteryear bar with picnic tables, benches and an old bar with original (?) bar... More

I had forgotten how terrific this bar was until I walked down those stairs again last Saturday. Nothing has changed, same pictures, same neons, same bar, same tables, same smoky smell. If you are ready to take a glimpse back in history, please give this place a try & you will be BLESSED with very cold beer (or wine), old... More
