Great place to take family and walk/trail at your own pace...beautiful and peaceful. History of area is readily available and the little details of the fort and life of that time are fascinating. Easy trail to walk or run and beautiful views.

We visited with our 13 year old who usually doesn't like to go anywhere with us. She actually had fun. We saw how they lived during the French and Indian War on the fort and what lide was like. The leaves were full of color...More

I liked this site they have done a good job at making it look like it would have looked back then, at least I think. They were getting ready for a fair of some kind that weekend but we were still able to walk around...More

This park is a gem in Monroe County. It is well maintained, with walking trails, picnic areas, bathrooms, and a visitor's center. The fort is very cool with a lot of interesting history. There are reenactments every month. The views can't be beat. Recommend.
