Enjoyed every minute of my time there. Many great aircraft well preserved. Displayed to take advantage of the photo opportunities.

Rude staff... down right snobby!!
Nov 2019
The staff is so full of themselves and do not want to answer my child's simple questions. Then I find out that the City taxpayers contribute to this place. If I was a resident that would not be happening! Treated us like outlaws just because we are Black! Thought Tennessee was over this!

Dear mt6617, We are sorry your family did not have a good experience at our museum. If you would be so kind as to let us know what day you visited so we can investigate your allegations further. In addition, please know that the City taxpayers do not contribute to our establishment. We are a 501(c)3 business that is privately funded by our membership.

A Step Back in Time
Oct 2019
Make a point to visit this museum! It is worth a long drive, or a flight into the co-located Tullahoma airport just to tour this museum, and certainly worth the short detour if you are traveling on I-24. There are historically significant Beech aircraft in this museum, and the restoration work on the Staggerwings is perfect. There is a section dedicated to Louise Thaden, an accomplished aviatrix who won the 1936 Bendix Trophy which is on display, along with her original pilot's license signed by Orville Wright. I spent 2-hours in the museum and that was not enough. Plan for a half-day, or a full day if you read all the historical documents. The facility is very modern, well designed and clean. There are many cool things in the gift shop and the staff is friendly and informative.

My pilot husband LOVES this museum!!
Dec 2018
We have brought friends to this museum over the last several years. It just keeps getting better and better. It is open all year now, but we used to go in December when they were closed and the museum director would come meet us just to let us in when the museum was normally closed. So when reviewers mention the wonderful staff and volunteers, they're not kidding!! You will not leave this museum disappointed!!

Worth the trip from The Netherlands!

Stunning Museum with iconic planes, like the Art Deco Staggerwing collection. Run mainly by dedicated volunteers, the welcome and friendship from all involved was overwhelming, making it The Reason for me for my first US visit ever, and many more to come in future. Got little sleep that week but no lack of energy :-) So let's meet you there!!!
My visit was Oct 2017 but this option wasn't selectable anymore. So I mentioned a year later.

Nice Museum

Had a great visit to the Beechcraft Museum. Many examples of Beech Staggerwings, Model 18’s, Bonanzas, Barons, and even a Starship. You can even climb in the Starship and sit in the cockpit. Might want to watch the smaller children and make sure they keep their hands to themselves since many of the plane exhibits are fabric covered and susceptible to easy damage. Best surprise of the day…antique church pews stationed around the museum so you can take a break. Also lots of historical Beech memorabilia. Nice museum, we’ll be back!

Don't Miss This Great Museum!

Originally, I wanted to title my rating "A Hidden Gem", but as I scrolled through the reviews, the word 'gem' was used in several previous titles--for good reason. This place is amazing. Incredible aircraft showing a key part of the history of aviation, wonderful docents, and a clean and professionally run facility.
And if those aren't enough great reasons to visit, they are also accessible via a grass strip and grass taxiway from the Tullahoma airport, so visitors may get lucky and catch even more aircraft and activity to see during their visit!
Our biggest surprise upon visiting was that more people don't realize this special place is in Tullahoma and go out of their way to visit! We will definitely be back!

A Hidden Gem
May 2019 • Friends
We discovered this museum by accident while driving to the Jack Daniel's Distillery. The museum was originally dedicated to preservation of the Beech Staggerwing, but later expanded to include other Beechcraft products, such as the v-tail Beechcraft Bonanza (I had a die-cast toy of this airplane as a kid, over a half-century ago) and the Beechcraft 18 (including two AT-11 Kansans- the military trainer version- one of which is undergoing restoration) and the futuristic but commercially unsuccessful Starship 2000. This museum is a definite must for aviation enthusiasts.

Was looking for day trip from NW GA that was dog-friendly! Found this and more at the Heritage Museum in Tullahoma. Beautifully restored Beech aircraft displayed in two hangars on a picturesque farm setting. Informative displays and exhibits.
