My daughter was given the assignment to tour this unique museum for a school project. Our experience was great! The aircrafts are magnificent and so accessible to view! The information provided at each aircraft allowed us to gain knowledge during our self guided, peaceful tour. As we toured, we quickly became enamored by the photos of Mrs. Olive Ann Beech “The Queen.” This early 20th century “Boss Lady” lead the Beech company for more than three decades following her husband’s death! As we purchased a book about this aviation power couple, we were excited to hear more stories about Mrs. Beech from an employee. As an educator for more than 25 years, I am always searching for ways to expose my students to history and experiences. A special thank you to Resident Director, Sherry Roepke, for taking time to answer questions and sharing further educational program options. My students and I look forward to our field trip to the museum!!!

If you are interested in vintage aircraft, this venue doesn’t disappoint. The museum has around 30 aircraft dating back to the early 1930’s.
The aircraft are all identified with short histories. The facilities are well maintained, well lit and very accessible. Staff was sincerely friendly.

Awesome museum with something for everyone. Great variety of old and new Beechcraft airplanes including some super rare ones. The facilities are very homey with multiple places to sit. Tells neat stories about the brand and you can look inside multiple planes. Good first trip and we will definitely be back.

The staff is so full of themselves and do not want to answer my child's simple questions. Then I find out that the City taxpayers contribute to this place. If I was a resident that would not be happening! Treated us like outlaws just because we are Black! Thought Tennessee was over this!

Dear mt6617, We are sorry your family did not have a good experience at our museum. If you would be so kind as to let us know what day you visited so we can investigate your allegations further. In addition, please know that the City taxpayers do not contribute to our establishment. We are a 501(c)3 business that is privately funded by our membership.

The Beechcraft Heritage Museum really needs to advertise their existence more as we only discovered it by accident.
A HAPPY accident for sure, as it's one of the best aviation museums we've ever seen.

Well-documented with Timeline Photos, news articles, and the path the Founders took to make it all a Reality, the main attraction is, of course, the incredible Beechcraft machines- meticulously restored with the provenance of each aircraft.

The museum is divided into three parts, each more fascinating than the last, and it's all in pristine condition. We spent about two hours there WITH a 5-year old who thought he'd died and gone to heaven.

Gift Shop. Small Snack Bar. Lovely Restrooms. INCREDIBLY friendly and knowledgeable Staff. Winter caveat: It was chilly inside, so you'll want to bring along your jacket. Not sure about the hot summers.

Beware of their hours of operations, I got there at 4:10 pm and found the gates to the property closed. I tried calling the main phone number and it went to voice mail. I was excited to see this museum after driving the short distance from Lynchburg and the Jack Daniels Distillery, only to find it closed. The advertised hours stated open until 4:30pm I subsequently sent an email to them and received a reply to the effect that it takes at least an hour to see everything and they start closing up at 4pm.

My wife and I stumbled upon the Beechcraft Museum in Tullahoma, TN while traveling in Sept, 1012. If one is interested in aircraft at all it is well worth a few hours. It was built and furnished by Beechcraft enthusiasts, and is controlled by them, not by the company.

The museum has the best selection of Beech Staggerwing aircraft I have ever seen. They are easily accessible, with one able to walk all around them up close, look inside, and, on a few examples such as the Starship, to actually get inside to see what the interior is like. There are probably 8-10 different Staggerwing models, most either donated or on loan from private owners. All are in excellent condition, and most are flyable. There are also other Beech models, including an around the world plane, a V tail Baron, and early Beech racer, and a Beech Starship, of which only a few were built. The Starship clearly shows the influence of Burt Rutan, designer of the Voyager and of the VariExe and Quicken. Interestingly enough, so few Starships were build (11) that Beechcraft could not economically support them and purchased as many as they could for destruction. The only remaining examples are in museums.

The museum is quite modern and an unexpected treasure at a small airport, well worth the admission fee of $10.

Had a great visit to the Beechcraft Museum. Many examples of Beech Staggerwings, Model 18’s, Bonanzas, Barons, and even a Starship. You can even climb in the Starship and sit in the cockpit. Might want to watch the smaller children and make sure they keep their hands to themselves since many of the plane exhibits are fabric covered and susceptible to easy damage. Best surprise of the day…antique church pews stationed around the museum so you can take a break. Also lots of historical Beech memorabilia. Nice museum, we’ll be back!

You will enjoy this museum even if you have no idea what a Beech Staggerwing is or if there are no aircraft in the pattern. If you've ever flown in or owned a Beechcraft, you should see this place. The fly-ins are a great place to take a young family and are well done.

We have brought friends to this museum over the last several years. It just keeps getting better and better. It is open all year now, but we used to go in December when they were closed and the museum director would come meet us just to let us in when the museum was normally closed. So when reviewers mention the wonderful staff and volunteers, they're not kidding!! You will not leave this museum disappointed!!
