This is a family owned business with tour guides that aren't trained in geology or caving but are well versed in the lore of this small cavern. It was an enjoyable couple of hours and moderately priced.

this was a once in a lifetime experience - to hear the story of how it was discovered - very informative tour - takes about 1-1/2 to 2 hours - if you have a bad back or knees it could be difficult as there are quite a few stairs and uneven ground to walk on - but if you can... More

If you are in Townsend, TN, it is worth a stop. The prices are reasonable, and the cave is interesting. Our tour guide was awesome. He was from Townsend TN born and raised. He loved caves and had explored every inch of Tuckaleechee. There are about 400 steps - total up and down. You descend 88 steps on the way... More

If you go you will like the story of how this cavern was found, don't want to give it away. It takes about one and a half hours to get through it with a knowledgeable guide. There are about 180 steps (not all at one time). Different sections with views that are incredible. It even has a waterfall which is... More

Had an excellent experience in the caverns. Some places were low enough for my 5'4" self to have to bend over to get through. Felt like we were truly exploring a cave. Great experience and highly recommend,Julie was a great guide. Note to parents with small children, there are some steep steps which made it hard for some parents to... More

We checked out these caverns on our last full day of vacation and we certainly judged the place by the building above ground. What lay far beneath the ground blew us away! I won't share too many details but it was certainly worth the visit!

The caverns are open and spacious and beautiful. The guides are great and very knowledgeable. It was a great way to spend a rainy morning.

What a great stop. Our first time at the cavern and we look forward to a return trip. Spencer was a great host and we enjoyed hearing the history of the cavern. If you are cold blooded bring a light jacket. It is a constant 58 degrees below and the chill gets to your bones. Great stretch of your $.

We did this tour and we were not dissapointed. The guide answered all our questions. He took his time explaining stuff to us and allowed everyone to take as many pictures as we wanted. Beautiful caves!
