A family member told me about this place with the Gulf gas sign and said they had great hotdogs. We gave it a try and he was right! I got a chili dog and it did not disappoint. Friendly service and super convenient if you are staying in Townsend.

We stopped in for gas and use the restrooms. The ladies were really friendly and gave us some recommendations for a room. The store is clean and well stocked. The chili dogs are fantastic. We have visited several times during our stay and will go back. Thank you for being a reliable place to stop.

On the corner of Lamar Alexander Parkway and Webb Rd. is the Phillips 66/Parkway Grocery. It has the most economical lunch in town. A hot dog with mustard and chili is only 89 cents, and it is good. You can add slaw for 20 cents more. They also offer barbecue, hoagies, bologna sandwiches at reasonable prices.

We stopped by Parkway Grocery several times while we were in Townsend. Everyone we encountered was exceptionally friendly, nice and helpful!! My husband walked down every morning for coffee!! I do believe the staff goes out of there way to be helpful, you don't see that a lot in the world we live in. We will use the business every time we come to the Townsend area.

Great sandwiches, great breakfasts, I liked to see so many locals getting their breakfast and lunches here.. You know if locals are piling in, it is Great!

The epitome of small-town convenience store. Friendly staff, great prices. Their hoagies are yummy, and their hot dogs are famous! Don't miss the BBQ and cole slaw, too!

It does not get better than this place! Super cheap food with PHENOMENAL taste. This place is known for their slaw dogs so be sure to try them. They also steam their deli sandwiches so they are extra tasty! A woman named Pat always makes my food and she is so friendly and makes the best cole slaw. Don't let the gas station fool you...this is the best kept secret in Townsend.

My wife and I recently topped here for lunch based on Trip Advisor reviews. Several sandwiches are available, but we ordered Chicken Salad sandwiches and they were terrific. The Grocery is obviously used frequently by "locals", but the staff are friendly folks that make each sandwich to order as you wait. We enjoyed them so much that we stopped the next morning for Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuits and they were good too.

We come to Townsend often but never had been in here! Our friends kept telling us about a place that had wonderful sandwiches but we couldn't figure out where he was talking about!! Finally!! We were all here together & got it pinned down. We really enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich!! I couldn't believe how much chicken salad they piled on the texas toast!! Goodness!! It was delicious. We will definitely be back.

we stopped here to get gas for generator,plus heard people talking about there hot dogs and subs,we got the loaded sub toasted and it was great
