My wife, our daughter, and three grandchildren went to Cades Cove and rented horses at the stables there for an equine trek in the woods. It was great fun, and worked for all the ages (10-69). The personnel couldn't have been nicer, and they worked hard to be sure that each of us had the right horse, taking into account... More

A great stop for a family with kids young and old! We had 2 with NO experience and they set them up on horses that fit them perfectly! Guide was awesome and horses were well taken care of!

We absolutely loved this ride. The barn manager Leon allowed my 8 year old drive the biggie and then switched to allow my 3 year old to dive too. He was wonderful in helping my children build wondrous memories!

We really enjoyed our horseback riding experience at Cades Cove Riding Stables. It was easy to find and was well marked when entering the Smokeys. We waited about 1.5 hours, but found things to do once we registered, like walking up a short trail to a ranger stop to get a trail map & then walking to the Cades Cove... More

This was my first time to ride a horse and I was a little nervous. The staff were very friendly and I felt completely at ease with them. Our guide was Briar. Not only was he very knowledgeable, he was also extremely entertaining! I actually learned a few things about horses and I have a whole new respect for them... More

We went for a carriage ride and our guide was Briar. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about Cade's cove. We enjoyed it so much that we went back three more times for horseback riding. We asked for Briar all three times. My daughter has never rode a horse by herself. Briar made sure she was behind him at all... More

We visit Cades Cove at least twice a year and have never been on horseback anywhere else. My children are very comfortable here and really enjoy the scenery and the antics of one certain guide. His name is Briar (its on his tag-swear) He has a connection with my 11 yr old and they have a great time together each... More

This was the first thing my girls wanted to do in Tennessee. Horseback riding in the mountains? Yes, please! Two of the four of us had done trail rides back home, and the other two were complete beginners. Leon was an amazing guide. He was friendly and kind to my girls and to myself. One of my daughters is a... More

Visit Cades Cove every year but this year we decided it was a must to go horseback riding. So glad we chose Cades Cove Riding Stables. Everyone there was so helpful and kind. We had a great experience on the trail and the horses were healthy, well maintained and calm. Jonathan and Dylan were our guides and they were both... More

It was a really good experience! Really good with beginners and experienced riders! It takes you down a scenic trail with creeks and hills going up and down. Horses are all really good and gentle with people and they are good with taking commands. I highly recommend going here.
