People who just visit Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge really aren't visiting the Smoky's until they do some traveling outside the tourists traps. Beautiful drive along the foothills parkway not to be missed!

When in the area of the GSMNP, take time to drive the Foothills Parkway. It's much less traveled than the HWY 441 route through the park, and provide some really good vies along the way.

I have been on this road many times and the views are always fantastic. There are several places to stop and park to have a wonderful view for miles no mater the season.

Nice drive giving you panoramas of Maryville going away from Townsend and the national park coming back to Townsend. Kind of a road to nowhere because Congress has held up funding, but we enjoyed it. Will check out the East End of it another time.

My friend and were looking for some non hiking activities and we found the drive very pleasant and an easy distance to go. The drive is popular with motorcycles.

If you are riding motorcycles this is a must ride. Make sure you take the time to stop at the pull-offs and enjoy the views. Was here on a Friday and the traffic was light.
