Beautiful view of the Little River. No admission fee, easy access. Bridge is stable, but of course, it's not for everyone.

Stopped on our way to dinner and let the kids run across. Appears to lead to private property. Stop if you need to kill some time with the kids. Otherwise, there's not much to see here!

I thought all the swinging bridges in the area from when I was a kid were all long gone. Fortunately when I mentioned it to the lady at the Little River Railroad Museum she told me about this one that was not only still standing but maintained by the city and safe and usable. What a blast into the past... More

The swinging bridge was a favorite attraction of our family - especially of our 5-year-old!! It is bouncy, even when walking, and is just good, simple fun. Provides a pretty view of the river and of the fish in it! Walking distance to the Railroad Museum.

Pretty scenery looking down the river from both ways. Very quiet area and peaceful. Reminded me of bridges where I grew up.

A pleasant stop to stretch. Great view of tubers floating down the river. Worth walking across, just so you can you've done so.

Just steps from the road, this old swinging bridge spans the Little Pigeon River in a beautiful location in the heart of Townsend. And, yes, it does swing !! There are limits to the number of persons allowed on the bridge at one time, so you may have a short wait, but it is well worth it.

This is a free stop in Townsend where you can enjoy fun on a bouncy picturesque bridge. We enjoyed watching the tube riders below and the beautiful river. Take a few minutes and enjoy this swinging bridge.
