It is what it says, a fish hatchery. Long spillways with varying sizes of trout. Nothing exciting or anything, but interesting if never seen before.

A very nice place to learn about how the fish that are stocked in the local rivers and streams. A great place to take anyone who has an interest in fishing or would like to learn more about the National Forrest Service

This is an educational experience of sorts, there is a little info. Posted at the front gate about some of the fish species in the tellico river. I think it could be better with a little interaction, such as some sort of a hands on...More

We went to see hatchery, they had fish food machine to feed fish and we did get to see the fish but rain became heavy and we had to cut visit short.

Educational trip for the kids, Offers guides in the summer time that can tell you about how the river is stocked and the trout habits. Interesting and free entertainment.

Nice way to see the trout in all phases of growth before they are released into the river. Close to the BMT for those who like to hike.

This is worth the scenic mountain/river drive if you have young kids. It is open to the public and offers free admission.

No mam, it is free to the public. Call ahead and see if there are any rangers doing guides while you are there. Otherwise you can just look on your own but it's nice if they are there to explain the breeding and feeding... More
