This place was very reasonably priced for horseback riding. There were lots of people and a wait to get in and another wait to ride. Our horseback riding guide was very friendly. The ride was enjoyable to the rest of my family. I was so worried about my horse I couldn't enjoy the ride. He didn't want to walk,, I had to make him walk. He stumbled 3 times, was sweaty before I got on him, and was breathing heavily every time he tried to climb a hill. The deep mud was hard for him to go through too. I told the guide my horse was having problems. The guide said the Farrier had cut the frog, but they had to work him to get the soreness out. I seriously wanted to get down and walk him. I was physically unable to get off the horse on my on or I would have.. Another guy in our tour group was having trouble with his horse. The guide said they shouldn't have sent that horse on a ride because he was having joint problems. I worry that they are working these horses too hard. I don't know anything about horses, but I know ours were sweaty and had dried mud over a foot high on their legs before we went on the trail ride.

We visited the ranch twice during our recent visit to Pigeon Forge. The first time my wife and I took the ATV tour. Andrew was fantastic at check in and had us up and riding in no time. He made sure our helmets fit correctly and wen over all of the safety rules and how to operate the ATV. It was just us and our guide Micheal (yes , that's how he spells it) so it was like a private tour. Micheal was fantastic. He took us on an extensive ride through the woods, mudholes, and up to a nice picture stop high up on a hill with a great view. He even treated us to a few extra trails on the way back to the barn. On the second stop we did a UTV tour with our daughter and 6 year old granddaughter and were lucky enough to have Micheal as our guide again. It was a special birthday present for our granddaughter and she loved every minute of it. Great fun and a great value. They also have a petting farm, horseback riding, and other attractions there so it's definitely worth a stop.

We had an awesome day at Jayell. The horseback riding was just ok. The horses are trained to be trail horses and needed very little guidance. Our guide was friendly - sorry but I forgot his name. The horses appeared to be well cared for and were rested between rides. We had a BLAST on the ATVs. Daniel was our guide. This may be the highlight of our trip. I had so much fun riding the trails. The ranch is very well organized and the price was fair. The only thing I would improve is the entry/exit to the parking lot. It’s a little confusing and probably not very safe. I highly recommend and would definitely visit again.

We only did the horseback riding at this ranch but they did have other activities (zipline and I think atv riding). Only three people in our group including the guide, Julio. All of our horses were well behaved which makes the ride more enjoyable. Julio was very personable and helpful getting us saddled up and guiding us on the ride. The price was very reasonable also. The reason I rated it a 4 rather than 5 was because the trails were roped off and essentially went back and forth along a small stretch of property. The scenery was still good; I just had the expectation that it was going to be over a bigger area with a broader view or more hills. The other thing I took note of was that there were lots of horses packed into an area that had a roof over it and mostly open sides so most of the horses were shaded but some were out in the sun. It just seemed like a small area for all of those horses to stay in for hours at a time waiting for riders.
