We went horseback riding and zip lining, both were amazing. The experience overall was well worth it. They do need to work on the check in process. Many people didn't understand that they needed a waiver filled out, even if they are not participating in any activities. The check in process is extemely slow with a long wait as they only have two people processing those waiting in a crazy long line and two people at the payment window. Be sure to pick up a coupon book and you will save $20/person on the zip/horse ride combo. The two 13 year olds really enjoyed it. Next time we will do the zip/ATV combo.

We had a wonderful time visiting Jayell Ranch! So much fun that we went back for a second time during our trip. We did the ATV and horseback riding, and of course visited the farm animals. My daughter loved getting to brush all of the goats! The facility was clean and well thought out. There were places to sit, snacks to enjoy and on one of the days a live band was playing.
The staff were all very friendly and great with the kids.
We do wish the horseback riding was a little longer (actual ride is about 30min) but overall I would highly recommend Jayell Ranch.
Be sure to get there early!

Andrew was very patient filling out our paperwork with us because it started to rain and our friends were worried about their teenager driving by herself in those conditions. We were originally set for 3 ATV's and one UTV, we settled on two UTV's instead. Once everything was discussed (at least 15 min) and a group was about to leave he allowed us to be bumped up with them w/o waiting. Chad was also patient while on the drive ensuring everyone was safe getting thru these very tight spots since now the ground was nice and muddy.

Our family of four did the horseback riding and 3 zipline combo. Be prepared to wait an average of 2 hours or more for the horseback riding, as there are no reservations. If you arrive early and are the first or if you have time to spare, then you should have no issues. I would recommend spending a few more dollars and going to an organized business that specializes in horseback riding or ziplining. The actual horseback ride was average. The guide barely spoke, didn't stop for pictures, separated our group ( horses follow each other in a single row), horses were extremely tired, as they are none stop. The ziplining section had only three ziplines since the other larger ziplines were damaged and not operable. Overall, it was a less than average experience, when compared to the others in the area.

Jayell Ranch was highly recommended by family. We arrived 10 minutes after opening (0900) and quickly experienced the disorganization and poor customer service this place seems to be built on. They have "steps" labeled. For example a line for the waiver must be signed before picking your experiences. The problem is there is no sort of division between lines, nor personnel guiding the lines, which turns into a free for all quickly, with people walking up not knowing where to go. Once you finish with step 2 (picking experiences), you wait in another line to pay. Total time for steps 1 through 3 was 1 hour and 10 minutes. You then wait in another line up the hill a bit to place your name on the list, and receive your group number (horseback riding). I can't speak to the other experiences as we only did the horseback riding. We were told our group would be called in 45 minutes tops. 2 hours later, we still hadn't been called. Once called, you wait approximately 30 more minutes while they load the horses with your group. Not sure why they wouldn't have staff preparing the horses ahead of time based on the weights of each rider taken when you pay. The ride was 1 hour, and it was a nice ride. Total time at the ranch was almost 5 hours. My biggest issue was the unpleasantness and unprofessional demeanor displayed by the staff. It is summer time in Pigeon Forge, so you expect to wait, but be honest with the expected wait times. Perhaps if staff would put their cell phones down and assist other staff, things would be more organized. The area they have for people to wait is great, with a small zip line, and swings for kids. There is also an area with animals and rocking chairs. Customer service is key in a service industry, and this place misses the mark.

Me and my friend went horseback riding last week. It's very unorganized and workers there not properly trained to handle situations . We were only on the horses for 5 minutes went down a muddy Rocky Trail we felt very unsafe. The horses decided to come right back to the stable they were not listening to us and the guide He did nothing to help us. The horses starting running back very fast and we almost got thrown off the horses. My friend was screaming for help no one came to help her. It took four employees to to get her off the horse . We both could have been seriously. Injured from this experience. They also have Rats running all over the Stables. We asked if we could upgrade to the ATVs or zip lining experience because they would not give us a refund for a 5-minute ride. They told us .no refunds. Please read the waiver that you sign before going on any of their activities. They are not responsible for any injuries or death that could occur on their property. Please don't waste your time and money on this establishment

We arrived looking for a horseback riding experience. No wait and we boarded right away. Upon expressions concern for the young children I requested the calmest horse. The guide boarded my 2 young children on smaller horses and bigger horses for adults. Me being the largest of all adults I of course got the biggest horse (BonJovi). I repeatedly asked the guide for a calm horse and was assured he was calm. I boarded him and was put in a staging area off to the side. That’s when it started. The helper had trouble buckling him in so I said hey man are you sure he’s calm he said yes but he doesn’t like this part. I said ok. Once the time came to be released to the trail upon unbuckling the clip which attaches him to the rail he became clearly agitated or jumpy. He started running and jumping around. Being an inexperienced rider I just held on. I immediately requested to get off the horse. I was ignored! I shouted to get me off of this horse immediately and the guide said once he follows the other horse he will be fine. The horse had already rubbed my right ankle/leg along the rail and I was in pain immediately. My right foot was also out of the stirrup completely. I hollered so loud everyone in the parking lot looked and that’s when the leader guide turned around and came to see literally 100 yards from the gate. We were turned around and led back but not after that scare. I would not recommend this ride. There are way better people out there that care.

Our party was a family of 6, including a 2 year old. We split up to go ATVing and horseback riding but we all went ziplining. To be fair, the ATV people had a good time, but the horseback riding was definitely not worth the money. I felt the horses were poorly cared for, filthy and some had the hair under their bridles completely missing, as if they never had the bridles removed. The staff put the least experienced rider with the hardest horse to handle, and put him 2nd from the last, so the guide took a long time to even notice the man was struggling. Even worse, they didn't tighten the cinch well and the poor man actually fell off because the saddle slipped! We were also disappointed with ziplining. There was not enough staff outfitting people so we had to stand around for an hour before we could begin. Over and over they led us to believe our 2 year old could go tandem, but when we got to the last line they told us she had to go alone at 55mph! One of us had to walk all the way back with the 2 year old and didn't get to finish. Also the ziplining guides were playing around on one of the lines while we all stood around and watched. Very unprofessional. I would give them zero stars if I could.

Went to Jayell for the ATV ride with my wife and teenage daughter. Got there about 11:45am on a Friday morning. There seemed to be a little bit of chaos with the lines when we walked up. You have to wait in the "waiver" line to sign the legal stuff. Understandable, but their website gives you the option to sign the waiver online which gives the impression that you wouldn't have to wait in that line. There were about 4 or 5 tablets to sign the e-waiver, but no one working at the tent to inform you of what to do. After about 15 minutes, one of the "ranch hands" came walking by and let us know he would get someone to help us out. Then you enter the 2nd waiting line to pay for the adventures themselves.

After 20-30 minutes of getting the legal stuff and payment done, we went to check in at the ATV area. They told us that the wait time before our number would be called would be "a couple of hours". We FINALLY got loaded up for our ride at 4:30pm. We were able to leave the place and go into Pigeon Forge to do some shopping and come back before our number was up.

The actual ATV ride was incredible though. We had the best experience and our guide was so helpful to everyone in our group. It was not your basic, flat terrain slow ride in 1st gear. It was up steep inclines and sharp turns with a few straight runs to open the ATV up a bit before winding through the woods again.

So, here's my best advice. Arrive early and make sure to get the "wait time" from the person at the ATV shelter and not the person collecting the money. There's plenty of fun things to do around the ranch to keep busy for a bit, but not for the 4 hours that we had between our arrival and our experience.

Got there when they opened to avoid lines as we read in other reviews. There were no lines, so got right in and signed up for 6 line zip lining, horseback riding and the tube hill. Got unlimited tubing cause it looked and sounded like the kids would love it. Signed in at zip lining and horseback riding, they said to do whichever called us first but both said it would be a 20 minute wait...there were very few other customers there!? Found out they were waiting for more staff to arrive. Did zip lining first, but found out we could only do the 3 lines because they were understaffed. I had to go back and get reimbursed for the difference. Horse back riding was ok, but we still had to wait in line after signing in at 9:00. We should have been able to go to the FRONT of the line after finishing the zip line. It was the first time on horseback for the five kids that went. The one adult that went from our group ended up with a stubborn horse. Now let’s move on to the tubing hill...what a disappointment. The slide itself looked nasty, not clean, could used a fresh coat of paint or something. Someone lost their glasses on the slide and every tube kept running them over. Our group all went once and everyone stopped about two thirds of the way down the hill and had to get up and walk the rest of the way with tube in hand. We made everyone go again just to justify the $19.99 unlimited price we paid (one turn costs $9.99) Everyone waited at the top while they tried to get the misting water going to wet the slide so the tubes would make it all the way down the hill. Something was broken. They were hosing water at the top to try to help. Must have been the owner and the owners wife trying to get things fixed. He kept commenting that this or that wasn’t working and she kept shushing him. Yes, we should have asked for a refund. $19.99 for two crummy rides down the slide was definitely a rip off. I realize that understaffing is a huge problem in America right now, so can’t really fault them for that but the tubing hill was a terrible disappointment. Our group was about the only one going down, it would have been nice to have been offered a refund or discount. Plan on being there awhile. We got there at 9:00 and didn’t leave till 12:30 with the wait times, etc
