About
From our fresh cut orchard, we produce apple-based wine blended with other fruits, including grapes. Located on the banks of the Little Pigeon River in the Apple Barn Village, the Apple Barn Winery is next door to the world-famous Apple Barn General Store & Cider Mill, two great restaurants, a bakery, a candy store, an ice cream shop, and a Christmas shop. The Apple Barn Winery offers a unique twist on wine. Our wine is hand crafted in small lots on the farm to provide each customer the best possible wine from local fruit. Open daily for tasting and sales, our family oriented staff would love for you to stop by. Even if you are not a “wine connoisseur”, you will still take pleasure in browsing our gift shop full of unique items as well as wine accessories. Our video tour is a wonderful educational experience that provides the opportunity to learn more about the winemaker’s art.

They provide free samples, and you can purchase wine by the glass and/or bottle, and even sign up for a membership to have wines shipped to your home. Such a cute store! Stephanie waited on us. She’s was wonderful. She was very friendly, provided our samples, educated us on the wine, sold us glasses of wine and bottles, let us know about other affiliated wineries and the cider tasting in the next building and told us all about the wine memberships. It was a pleasure having Stephanie wait on us and we intend to return this week to purchase a membership with her.Thank you for such a great review! Our tour guide was Randy and he was AWESOME!! Made the trip so fun and enjoyable. I usually don't do tours but this one was by far the BEST! My grandmother got this tour for me, my mother and my friend as a birthday/Christmas gift and all 4 of us enjoyed this so much. Definitely worth the extra money for the VIP. If you do this wine tour definitely try to get Randy as your tour guide. He was fun and cracked corny but funny jokes and he is very knowledgeable about the town and the wine. At every winery we stopped at, Randy recommend a flavor and all 3 times we ended up buying the flavor.

Lance was very helpful during the tasting. He quickly discovered my favorites. I ended up leaving with 3 bottles of each and a tasty frozen mix. My overall favorite was the Orchard White and it was on sale as the flavor of the month. Lucky me!!! I can’t wait to get back home from vacation and enjoy it all.

Jeniffer was our getting us ready this time around she was VERY sweet and made sure we felt comfortable in everything we did . The photographer asked permission to move us and always warned us before touching us he was very polite . Caleb was printing and giving us the hard drives he made everything very clear and made sure we understood before everything went through. It overall was a very positive experience,it is very pricey but i would 10/10 recommend!

We participated in the wine trail which led us to the Apple Barn Winery, although pretty busy we found an open spot to do a tasting. The store was very clean and nice displays of holiday decorations were everywhere. Our wine steward came over right away with some wine glasses, however didn't greet us or ask what our preferences were. She literally stated we could get three free tastings and pushed the wine list toward us. We made a selection and she poured, but offered no information about the particular wines. I learned nothing about the grapes used, the winery, alcohol content, nothing! We did opt to buy two bottles which she rang up and returned some change without thanking us. I was pretty burnt at this point after spending $54 there so I told the woman she should try smiling because it's the holidays. Her response was simply, "I am feeling sick today", which didn't make me feel any better after she had just served us beverages and touched all the glasses. A couple good wine choices, great holiday atmosphere, but truly very negative customer service!!

The Apple Barn Winery was my favorite stop. The drinks are awesome, service is exceptional, the shop is adorable, and they have a wonderful place to drink outside. I was so focused on the drinks I forgot to get our servers name but she was very nice and helpful. She told us about the wine tour you definitely don't want to miss and gave us that adorable wine tote bag that holds six bottles. We got a nice wine glass and mug for completing the tour. The T shirt was a gift from the coupon book so make sure you pick one up. They have funny glasses too. You can refill your growler for $12 so don't toss it out. They have a candy shop, resturant, fruit stand, and beautiful creek with geese all within a short walk of the shop. Don't miss out! I highly recommend the Red Lemon Head and Sweet Caroline if you are sampling.

My wife and I stopped by and spent a few minutes with Jordan. She is an excellent representative and she knew well the selections as well as when the winery is planning to release special or limited release wines. I definitely recommend this stop on the wine trail.

My boyfriend and I were having a fun family weekend with my daughter. Paula B was amazing and took perfect care of us. She engaged with my daughter to make her feel a part of the tasting even though she's under age. I can't speak highly enough of this lady that introduced us to wonderful wines.

Great service from Mike. We got helped immediately and got to try 4 wines each for free. We purchased one seasonal wine which was unique. We also purchased a gift in the little shop. Very nice experience. Beautiful grounds.

Only one person working there even acknowledged us.
While trying to enter in a wheelchair, due to the high threshold, we had problems. A man working there literally watches while we struggle and finally a woman comes and holds the door for us.
She also gave us some tastes.
Wine was awful.

This is THE best winery in the area. I have sampled pretty much every single winery here, and this one beats every one BY FAR. Their wine is so good and made on site. If you want quality wine, go here for sure. I love all types of wine, and they offer dry, semi sweet, and sweet. Highly recommend this place! Ben was super helpful and kind when we sampled.

Hello. Your winery came very highly recommended by my family. I love wine, but I have stuck with red blends. My boyfriend does not care for wine, but if he drinks it he will drink a white wine (red gives him a horrible headache). I would like to go, but I want us to both enjoy being there! What are your thoughts on us going and enjoying it?
