This is the place to go for horseback riding! The owner is no nonsense ( as she should be to run a business efficiently) get there on time as to not slow the group behind you down from their slotted time. She was so easy to work with! Her staff couldn't have been better tour guides and made our group very comfortable! We had ages 6- 63 riding and it was great! 3 staff members rode with our group to make sure everyone felt comfortable on their horse! Price was fair and I would use them again! It was nice not to have to wait in a long line for our turn. When we got there, we got on our horses and rode! Great place! Will be back next time!
They also take pics of your group riding and send them to you after for no extra fee!

We never miss an opportunity to schedule a trail ride at Goldrush Stables when we visit Pigeon Forge. We have been there several times. They have healthy, well-mannered horses and guides who know their individual personalities. Our guides today, Topanga, Christi, Savana, and Kaylee, took great care of the group, especially the ones who had never ridden a horse before. The trails offer variety in terrain, and you really get a generous amount of time riding for cost.

A lot of the stables are still closed due to COVID so happy to find this place not too far from our cabin. We made reservations over phone with Peggy who is very nice to deal with and she immediately texted me the receipt. It's a small check in area but very well kept and decorated. There were plenty of horses and all seemed well taken care of. They also had larger horses and could accommodate weights up to 275. It's a family run business which is nice to see. The riding time is somewhat shorter than I'm used to but the trail itself is nice as you get to ride over mud, creeks, woods, and open fields. We were towards the back of the pack and the assistant guide was a young man who was very accommodating to a special needs teen in our group. He also was nice enough to take photos and text them to me. That left us more money to give them a nice tip which you can do over credit card at end.

Lovely guides and horses seemed to be treated well. But we had a few issues—With a party of 6 who has 3 males over 6 feet, we paid extra for larger horses when making reservation on the phone. That was not addressed when we got there, in fact it was so minimized that my 6’3” son was on a smaller horse than my 5’ daughter! Why did I pay the extra money?
Second, we arrived as directed at 9:15 and then had to wait for the everyone to arrive who booked the 9:30 ride—the last folks arriving well after 9:30. By the time we all got on our horses and got the instructions, we left at 10:05 for a little loop around the construction site where a new road is going in. We were returned to the stable at 10:35. That was our hour long ride! Very disappointing to all!
I understand you can’t control those that arrive late or the construction site—but an advertised hour long ride that lasts 30 minutes is bait and switch! Not good business tactics by any means! We will not return to your stables when we come back next summer!

My boyfriend and I stopped here not really knowing what to expect, we walked in and the lady at the front desk was seriously so nice! She was so welcoming and hilarious! She explained that normally she requires reservations, but we were lucky enough to be the last two to go out on that particular tour. The staff all seemed very friendly and they were all very knowledgeable and experienced with the horses! The tour lasted about an hour and was very scenic and beautiful. I like how they take reservations so that you aren't waiting for hours and hours. This place is definitely underrated! We HIGHLY recommend GoldRush Stables, their prices are very reasonable and the experience is amazing!

We were at another horseback riding ranch down the road that was extremely crowded and had a 3-4 hour wait. I googled horseback riding and was just going down the list to find one that worked. Heritage GoldRush Stables was the first one that came up. I called and asked if they had any times available for today, she asked how far away I was and said come now we’ll get you on a horse. We were a half mile away and when we got there (2 adults and 2 kids) they had the horses ready and were waiting for us. We paid ($118) and jumped right on our horses. They were super friendly and informative. My 7 year old son had never been on a horse before and did great! There were plenty of guides traveling with us. We went through creeks and the trails were fun. Definitely glad we found this place!

We had a good time riding here. The horses seemed to be well matched to the riders.
It was my husband's first experience and I hadn't ridden for too many years to mention. My husband got a little instruction but he managed ok. We had two guides, one in front and one behind. The guide in front was very quiet and basically lead the way. The guide behind the group was friendly and outgoing but spent more time talking with and taking photos of the last couple in the group. I'm sure everyone else would have enjoyed more interaction and photos too.

Amazing day at Goldrush Stables today! We wanted to experience something different than regular tourist traps and this place blew away our expectations! We took our 5 kids ages 7-15 and every one of them had an amazing time. None of us had ever been on a horse and now all of us want to do it again. Kids said it was the best day ever! All of our tour guides were amazing, fun, and great leaders! Kaylee especially went way out of her way to email me pictures of our family that we will cherish forever!! It was amazing to see my kids get out and do so well! This is a must do!

Our two families of four booked horseback riding in advance after seeing all the good reviews for GoldRush. I appreciated that we could reserve a time rather than having to get there and wait. The staff was very friendly and did a good job matching horses to riders. The horses were well cared for. We had a much bigger group than I expected and as a result I often couldn't see my kids on the trail and had to hope they were doing okay. The trail guide couldn't see the back of the pack and the guides in the back didn't always stick with the group. We, unfortunately, didn't have quite the same good experience that so many others seemed to have had. At one point all the horses ran past an area unexpectedly. I found out later that there was a bee hive on the trail in that spot that was a known issue. This was very scary for the kids in the group and I had to hope that they hung on tight to stay on their horse while it ran. Thankfully none of the horses were stung, but two of the kids did get stung.

Great experience. Husband and teenager enjoyed riding horses. Very affordable we paid $59 for two people. It does cost more if you are over 210 pounds for a larger horse.
All participants seemed to love the experience as well. Guides were quick and obviously knowledgeable. Friendly but stern with "rules". Felt safe with kiddo riding for sure.
