Took the grandchildren to the park while visiting Smokey Mountains. Great place for kids ages 1-10. Older ones loved the climbing rope. Younger ones loved the interactive play areas. Soft padding underneath each piece equipment made it safe for children if they fall. Highly recommend if your little ones need to burn energy at no cost

This is a very nice park that is kept up good. The playground area is designed for safety. Hand sanitizer stations were available because it was still "Covid time". Shade netting over all the play areas. Our grandkids enjoyed the park as well as going up in the mountains. Our cabin was nearby but didn't have a play area for the grandkids so we just went to this park and they said it was the "best day ever"!

Went here to give our dogs a place to walk while staying at a cabin up in the mountains. Very nice paved walk. Plenty of space to socially distance in this new era. Currently the fields and playground equipment are not open but the walking paths are available.

It’s ridiculous that they don’t allow dogs to be in the baseball complex, on a leash. You can have them all through the park; until you get to the baseball fields. So if you have your pets in the front of the park, but then go to the back for your young children’s baseball game; you will be asked to remove your pets. Instead of Enforcing and/or fining people that don’t clean up after their dogs, they punish the locals who’s tax money pays for the staff that asks them to leave. You can smoke as many cigarettes as you’d like there, and throw your butts on the ground, but don’t think twice about bringing your leashed family dog to the game with you. PUT SIGNAGE AT THE STREET. Don’t let families unload the car, get all the way into the complex and then ask them to remove their dogs.

Loved this park. Picked us up some food and picnicked here. Had our fur baby with us so he was able to have a very nice walk on the pathways.

We travel out of our way to go here. Plenty for kids to do. Also has covered picnic areas, walking loop, basketball court. Turn at light #3, Wears Valley Road. About 2-3 miles on left.

Our kids absolutely loved this park! It had a traditional play set and then an awesome playground that required more endurance and movement that my athletic 7 year old ran around in amazement! There were a bunch of different kinds of activities for all ages and abilities--my 3 year old especially loved the roller slide! Beautiful grounds that would make for a great picnic afternoon to get away from the main hustle and bustle of the main strip! Worth checking out!!

This park is gigantic. It has pavilions for picnics, ball fiends, children's playgrounds and most other amenities. It is lacking a doggy play ground. Hopefully in the very near future one will be added. Right off of the Parkway at light 3

This park was a total surprise, in a good way. Great fenced in playground for the smaller ones, clean and spacious pavilion, football, baseball and soccer fields were exceptionally well kept. Very nice walking trail through the park.

We are planning to attend a softball tournament at Wear Farm City Park in July 2017. We will be staying in an RV park and will have our 2 dogs with us. Are they allowed at the softball fields (on leash, of course)?

Yes, Vicki, dogs on a leash are welcome and the park even had a drinking fountain for the pets. The only catch I could envision would be that the policy would change during a tournament, but that seems doubtful to me.
Thanks and have fun.

Are dogs on leash allowed in the park and on walking paths? We will be traveling with grandchildren and 2 dogs.

I think I recall seeing signs that dogs must remain in leash, so I think, yes.

Would the Park be available on May 2 for a school group (including adults) of 91? Would need around 12:30 PM for about 1 hour.
thanks
