we were in pigeon forge for our anniversary. we love to see the soul of motown. the show was great, but the food was awful. the menu on the website is far from what we got. no sauces and the food had no seasoning. we were told to be there by 5:45 so we got there at 5:30 and our waitress told us the buffet would start at 6:00. Well at 6:45 is when they called our row to start and we were row A. the show didn't start until 8:00 and it was suppose to start at 7:00. The speaker told everyone that the ovens were not working right and the cook was having some problems. Who waits till the day of the show to find this out. we were very disappointed in the food. not good at all. we loved the show and will go back, but will not eat the food.

This may not look like much on the outside but you will be in for a treat once inside. The Motown Review exceeded my expectations! The singing was spot on! I plan on going back. At different times, one of the singers would come into the audience and sing and interact with the audience on the front row where I was sitting. After the show, the singers were out in the lobby taking pictures with people and signing autographs. The only thing I suggest is, eat before you go, the food was cheap and made from frozen.

We booked, and paid, for a group of 50 for a special occasion. The day before the show, the venue called to tell us that they had a tour bus come in and wanted all the seats, so our tickets were being recalled, and they could no longer accommodate us!! When we protested that we had already paid, traveled from several different states, etc, they pretty much told us "too bad, we have a bigger group, so you are out of luck".
I would never advise anyone to give this business their patronage. There are too many other great places In town to go.

We have made TWO attempts to reach you concerning this matter. We feel you might have mistaken us for another theater, for we have NO record of such event. In fact, we only have ONE person who handles parties over 20, so there is no chance of there being any confusion over the matter on our end. There was MORE THAN ENOUGH room for both a party of 50 and a tour bus, so our company would have stood to have taken a LARGE loss by cancelling you. So again, unless you have mistaken us for another company, this situation DID NOT HAPPEN. We would have liked to have gotten a reply to our inquiries as to why you would post this on Tripadvisor and we do wish you well.

If you like the Motown music you will love this show. The show is fast action with very talented entertainers. Too many good places to eat in Pigeon Forge to settle for a High School lunchroom type meal at the theater. I would advise you to buy the show only tickets and since you have reserved seats show up about 20 minutes before the show starts. For best seats buy your tickets directly from the Majestic Theater. Com and not from another ticket broker. Select your seats in the center section Row D or back, this will place you at stage level or above and you won't be having to look up at the show. If possible try to get your reservations a day or two before the show this way you'll be assured of a good seat. I hope this information helps you to obtain a great experience.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this show. The service and the food was excellent. The performers were superb and the music they covered was performed with conviction and with excellent talent. The final salute to our veterans both of us in tears. Thank you for a wonderful performance.

Celebrated my husband's birthday here. Had the dinner beforehand (buffet style with typical choices) that was ok. Much as you wanted. On the order of Ryan's Restaurants or Golden Coral's. Seating is tiered so easy to see over heads. Tables are stationary and four seats to a table in a line so you get to meet new people. They do a "live camera" before of the audience which is included on a CD of the show for sale afterwards. The singers/entertainers were excellent and sound pretty close to the original Drifters, Temptations, etc. They come into the audience some to interact and are available after to meet and sign autographs. Gift shop outside of the auditorium in front. Started on time. About 2 hour show with 45 minutes to eat before. Waiters were excellent, fast and courteous. The singers ended with a gospel type song to give praise to God and then a song in tribute of America. This was the weekend of July 4th so don't know if that's traditional or not. A good clean show. If you like Motown Soul of 60's, you'll like. Would return.

I have been to the Soul of Motown show several times and the show is amazing! The performers are fantastic, their talent is unreal, the choreography is genuine of the Motown era, and the energy is non-stop! But hope and pray before you get there that you do not have a seating issue or any other detail that needs to be resolved by the box office staff or upper management. The general manager is clueless about rules and regulations and the ignorance trickles down the line to the box office staff. You will get charged a different amount every time you attend the Grand Majestic because no one is on the same page. And when there is a seating issue, everyone will be extremely rude, no one will take any ownership, and you (the customer) will be the one that pays for their mistake because they will not make it right for you. It is an absolute shame that I want to go to the show to be able to support these amazing performers but yet I can't go to the show because I don't want to support the establishment because of the management!!! The Grand Majestic is out of its league trying to house a show of this caliber with the management and staff they currently have. I feel bad for the performers.

The employees were rude. The singers were terrible. The music was bad. Made many people uncomfortable with making them to dance. The best part of the show was the intermission.

We love Motown music 🎶 so this was a must see for us. We bought the package that included dinner. Very nice dinner for only ten dollars, wine, beer and some mixed drinks were available for purchase. The service was good and the servers were very informative. If you like the Supremes, Temptations, Platters ,
Smokey Robinson and the Four Tops and more... you will really enjoy the program! Lots of costume changes and really good singers and dancers.

In August 2013 we visited Pigeon Forge and saw 4 shows. Soul of Motown was my absolute favorite. I knew almost every song and couldn't stop from singing along and dancing in my seat! There were 7 in my party ranging in age from 11 to 68 and all said they would want to see the show again on a future visit.
