Having a morning show is a great idea. At that time of day it's the only show in town. The music is all country and gospel. The harmonies are smooth and the cast is very personable, even intermingling with the audience after the show. I usually don't enjoy corny country comedy, but the husband/wife comedy team were very funny and likeable. I was familiar with the story of the original Blackwood brothers group, but it was nice to learn more of the family history. I was a fan of James Blackwood and his son from the Gaither broadcasts. This was the one show in town that I particularly looked forward to seeing. I wasn't disappointed. So...have a hearty breakfast and "mosey" over to the theater to enjoy the show.

This was a new genre of musical entertaining experience for me, and I liked it. Obviously this is old time stuff, and the Blackwoods integrated their long history of their family tradition into the performance. RW is a born entertainer and will probably be so until the saints come marching in. I enjoyed Karen's voice and would like to have heard a solo performance by her. The ventriloquists, Bob and Marty, mixed things up and really put the V in Variety. There was no breakfast expected or offered, just heaping helpin's of musical history and good times.

I was not familiar with the Blackwood Family prior to visiting the Pigeon Forge area. They are a Christian family that have been singing gospel and country music for 80 years. At the end of the show, there was a patriotic selection of songs. The love between the performers is evident. The show will be moving to Branson in 2016.

We saw this show the last time we were in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Our family is planning to take another trip to Pigeon Forge and we will DEFINITELY be taking our adult children to see this wonderful show - the breakfast is great too!

If you enjoy great gospel music, you'll undoubtedly enjoy this show. The Blackwoods are very comfortable entertaining in a 'down home' way. Since they are celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Blackwoods, several other country artists offer their congratulations via video as well.

This is a great family story. No doubt there are some that are turned off by gospel music but they do a mix of music. I think there are those who think the gospel music is like singing songs in church. Well, I've got some news for you. There is that upbeat sound to everything they do. You have to admire the Blackwood's for being in the business as long as they have. Now, if you like the good ole bass sound, you have to check out Mr. Smith. He says, it's the breakfast popcorn. lol. They had a great package deal on their CD;s and we were entertained all the way home as well. This will be their last year in Pigeon Forge. They are moving to Branson, MO. One of the top shows in the Forge.

This morning show included many talented performers. However, the theatre was quite cold and uncomfortable as a result. The show has a variety of performances, but a good portion has a strictly Christian message. The Blackwoods are celebrating the family's 80th anniversary, so most of their music was well before I was born and I had never heard of it. There was a lot of name-dropping those individuals with whom they had a professional relationship 20, 30, 40, or 50 years ago. There was almost 20 minutes of marketing done prior to the show--it was a bit too hard-sell for me. Theatre is lovely, has lots of clean rest rooms and a really nice gift shop.

Was informed prior to ticket purchase. However, why do they continue to charge premium prices for a morning show?
You have to get up at 6am, while on vacation, to get breakfast prior to the show. Although, one can go to the show and listen to your stomach grumbling. Why they don't have an after lunch show is the question?
Until they change their show times, or have breakfasts again, their crowds will only be "Blue hairs" that wakes up at the crack of dawn.

This show does not get the accolades which should be bestowed upon it. This is a show for the entire family performed by wonderful Christian people who love God, love people and love life. It is a first class show presented by R.W. Blackwood, his wife, and a wonderful group singers who are very professional. There is also the added attraction of comedy and ventriloquism provided by Bob and Marty Hamil. Their comedy is good clean family entertainment and the puppets provide an added feature to the comedy. I highly recommend this show and would encourage those who have seen it to see it again and tell their friends about it.
