- LoriACantonCanton, Georgia92 contributionsWe had fun and the food was goodThe seating was the only negative thing about the experience. It was crowded and we were in the bistro type “high” chairs and it was not comfortable at all. The food was hot and fresh. The dessert was yummy! The show was amazing! The performers were excellent singers, dancers, and musicians. We enjoyed it.Hi Lori! Thanks for the great review! - nankpCharleston, West Virginia93 contributionsCute showWhen I saw the line to get in I was concerned, but it went pretty fast. Food came first. Our waitress was great. I have seen some grumbling about the food, but I thought it was good. The potatoes were very good as was the bbq. You could improve on the rolls and the pudding was just ok. Just give me a turnover. The food was plentiful. I liked the show, but probably it a repeater unless it changes. But we did enjoy it:Hi Nan! Thanks for the amazing review! - Mr. Eats out too muchDelavan, Wisconsin121 contributionsHootin and hollering good time! How fun is this place, high flying comedy with an all you can eat meal. They start ya off with a picture. Bring ya into the theater to be seated back in time. Right in the middle of a 50 year feud between two crazy families! The all you can eat chicken, taters, corn, coleslaw, and bbq pork are as good as you’d expect for a dinner theater! They search this all you can eat feats on old fashioned cast iron plates. Then for dessert you get choice of pudding. The big flying acrobatics tell a story while performing various tap dancing and swinging stunts.. as well as a crazyy dive into the pool. Yes there is a poop under the stage 🤭 when diner concludes they thank you for your visit and ask that you too your servers! Overall it was a pretty fun experience. - 53rb53Prince George, Virginia245 contributionsFamily Fun and Good FoodThis is a great family friendly show. Includes singing, dancing and comedy. All the action sequences keep you connected and very engaged. The food is good and you get as much as you want. The only downside is no togo boxes for food already delivered to your table. We were told that they had to throw all the food away that was collected from the tables, quite a bit of waste.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 17, 2023

Our number was up….. two foul mouthed drunks sat with us. They had been drinking long before they got to the show. We were happy when they went out to smoke and didn’t return.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 21, 2023
- Rebecca ForesterKey West, Florida2 contributionsNew Christmas Show - GREAT!This new Christmas show is WONDERFUL! My husband and I come every year to see the Christmas show and this year they had advertised an ‘All New’ show. We were very impressed by the comedy, dancing and the singing. This one young girl in a red dress was a very impressive singer, she sounded like she should be on tour in Nashville. They had a live pig as well which was such a treat. Loved having in audience participation where the entire cast came out to us in the audience. For the food, it was about the same as last year. Very good. Had write a review this year about our experience. My husband and I were very impressed with this cast/crew. 10/10 recommend to everyone!Howdy! Thanks for the amazing review! - Ana Paula ATruckee, California12 contributionsVery entertaining & delicious foodWe had a great time and found show to be very entertaining. It was our first time and we had high expectations. The food was delicious - chicken could have more seasoning/flavour - and our server was very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately we couldn't eat all the delicious food as portions are quite large 😅. Loved the desserts. The show itself was a bit hard to follow at times but we still enjoyed it very much. You can tell there is a huge crew involved in making everything happen and they do a great job. Some of the actors/singers are very talented. More instructions/signage upon arrival at the entrance/gift shop could be helpful. Overall we had fun and would come again. We would recommend it, especially for families.Howdy! I've been to several dinner theater shows including the Dixie Stampede and Midieval Times and thought those shows were entertaining and worth the price of admission. Having seen those before, I thought we'd give this one a try with just the wife and myself. We were both pretty disappointed and feel like this should have been a $65 ticket when it was nearly 2x that price. The food was just okay and the wait staff have a LOT of people to bring food out to so you won't get much attention from them. The show consists of some basic bluegrass music (nothing really impressive) and some basic tap dancing (again, nothing really impressive). I think the people might have been quite talented but they really don't have much time to show it off because there is a basic story about the H & M feud. The comedy is very "my pants are on fire" kind of comedy so while very small kids might like it, it really isn't very entertaining for the parents. Characters running around fake kicking or hitting the other family, all while cracking very basic "country" jokes was just painful. The highlight of the performance was when they bring out some dogs and let them jump into a pool catching toys...but this only lasts a couple of minutes. We were extremely happy that we didn't have our 3 kids with us or else we'd have spent a small fortune and really not gotten much entertainment out of it at all. When you're at a show with lots of animals that are well trained, you feel that the high price is somewhat justified just in the maint and upkeep of the animals and the huge facility. When it's just a small number of stage actors and performers, it feels dramatically overpriced.

My husband really wanted to see this dinner show, and I planned ahead and purchased tickets online for our family of four for the second day of reopening following COVID restrictions being lifted. They had things down to an art for social distancing, cleaning, etc. We had to wear masks in the common areas (gift shop, bathrooms, etc.), but once we were inside the theatre we removed our masks and sat at our tables, which were placed six feet apart. The servers work very hard here to get food out quickly and tables cleared before the show starts. It’s important to arrive at least thirty minutes prior to showtime, preferably 45 minutes to give yourself ample time to eat without feeling hurried. The food was good, not amazing, just typical southern fare you would get at a buffet or local homestyle food joint. The service from majority of the staff was amazing, I saw how hard they worked and it was fascinating to see the coordination and teamwork that goes into the whole production. That being said, I think we just caught our waitress on a bad night. She complained most of the time, was not very friendly, and overall just put a damper on our experience. She would ask us if we needed something, but wouldn’t wait for our answer and would move on to the next table. When we were leaving I told her thank you for everything and she gave me a half-hearted, surly reply. For the amount we paid for dinner and the show, plus the amount I tipped on top of this, her service was so disappointing. I know this is not the case with all wait staff because I saw the level of service provided to others in the rows above and below us. On to the show...amazing talent! These folks are great at what they do! The singers, the dancers, the stunt people, the actors are all outstanding. They put their heart into their work, and it is evident. We really enjoyed the show, and would go see it again minus the dinner portion. For some reason our show didn’t have divers or animal acts, like was mentioned online. I guess things are modified due to COVID. Overall, I would give the show portion a 4.5 out of 5, and the dinner a 2.5 out of 5 mainly due to our service experience and average food selections. If you haven’t done a dinner show before, this is a fun experience you should try at least once with your family.

This is our 2nd visit here. The first was a couple of years ago. Show was good and food was great. We raved about it so much our family wanted to go on this visit. Chicken was crazy dry and tasted like it was cooked hours earlier. Pulled pork was fatty and drowning in sauce. Corn on the cob was just gross. The show was cute. It has changed slightly since the last time. I was embarrassed after I raved about this place. Would not recommend, and if someone goes it is nowhere worth $56.00 a person.

It was a rainy day so we needed something else to do to pass the evening instead of walking around Gatlinburg. We decided on the Hatfield & McCoy dinner show. We couldn’t buy 2 tickets online min was 3 tickets so we had to call the box office to get our tickets. We arrived and were directed to the ticket booth to get our tickets. Then we went to stand in line to get into the theater where you were herded into massive lines on either side of the building into two single file lines. Everything from the time we got our ticket to the show starting seemed a bit chaotic for the workers. Servers frantically trying to wait on people as they were seated in their row. If you got your picture taken before entering a lady comes over and tries to sell the picture along with flags, cowbells, hats for the show. The food is average at best. No legs in the chicken buckets. Breast and thighs only. Disappointed with that. The soup is pretty good but nowhere Is it clear what the soup actually is. The dried soup you can buy in the gift shop says creamy shop. Corn very over cooked and coleslaw has little flavor. They want you to tip your server before the show officially starts because you do not see them again once the show starts. The recommended tip is 3.50 pp in your party. The show is alright not great. A lot of people say it’s funny but I barely laughed. The singers are ok. The jokes are close to being good but just not there. When you arrive the last show is trying to leave and when you leave the same. This makes the parking lot a bit difficult with not sure who is trying to come and who is trying to leave. Overall it wasn’t worth the price and we would not come back. Once is more than enough.

Visited with my family while on vacation. They are practicing social distancing and only operating at 50% capacity.
The show was ok. It is a bit disappointing for the musicians to be using a track. It was quite obvious that the girl with the mandolin wasn't playing. She did have a great voice though. I appreciated the "Mayor" playing his banjo. The actual show was entertaining, but definitely not to be used in any way as historical facts. The best part was the dogs and the camera shots of the crowd before the show.
The food is supposed to be "all you can eat", but only for about 20 minutes, and only if your server can get it to you. I'm sure the pandemic has played a part, but the food was average at best. Chicken skin was really greasy but the meat was incredibly dry. If you want beer, you need cash in hand, no tab til the end of the show. Dessert is instant pudding with cool whip style topping.
You have to wear a mask from the time you get in line until you sit at your table and they search your bags for weapons. They don't allow weapons at all, even witha concealed carry permit.
I doubt that we will go back, but it was ok once.

Let's see shall we start positive or end positive? Let's start with the good, I suggest you get tickets as soon as you decide this is an activity you are doing it might improve your seating. The line to get in once doors open moves quickly, they do a nice job of getting you in, there is a bar and it serves adult drinks, a bonus for me and my wife. Everyone is wonderfully polite and the entertainment is a good show. It was a good spin on an old tale. It was the best part of the evening.
What we did not like was the rushed feeling of the meal, you sit down you are served, the servers are also cast members and stage hands so for us it felt more than rushed it was not an enjoyable pace. It's all you can eat and you pay a decent amount for dinner theater the meal is half the reason you are there. So you better eat fast to get seconds, cause it's on the table and off the table fast. Other dinner shows have a much better pace and allow you to eat and enjoy the show and you have all the time you want to feast. It's a void in service as well as your server is busy during the show. Where we sat it was hard to see the show the table is sideways to the stage for most of the tables and you are looking across the table at your family to see the show you have to turn to right or left, the person at the rail will block those af the aisle and you have to move to the opposite side of their head as they are in your way to view the stage. The food could have been great but ours was over cooked.
We have a rule that we give things like this a other chance but change if we can the things that we didn't like. So we will make our reservations months in advance to get splash zone or seating that faces the stage, we will arrive 45 minutes before the show not 30, we will go to the 5pm show not the 8 and if the food and serving experience improves I will post about the better experience.

It may be all you care to eat, but you won't care to eat much of it. With a recent corporate buy-out, quality of food has sure suffered. 4 shows a day, and they church out a lot of meals but clearly no one is supervising. Chicken was OVER COOKED, Greasy, NO SALT, & Dry. Pork Barbeque was barely heated (we're sure it comes pre-cooked & frozen) and was very dry & hard, and "banana" pudding had no bananas or wafers, just chemically flavored out of a #10 can. No comment cards available, no mention of a manager, and their email address is no longer valid, so don't complain!!! Pay your $60 a person & shut up as your expensive bad meal goes into the garbage.

My review isn't about the Dinner Show, it is about the outside of the building and all the items that they display outside. The show was closed the weekend we were there in October, 2020. I walked around outside during the day and came back one night to get pictures of it lit up at night. That was so nice to see the difference in how the building looked lit up at night, as opposed to what it looked like during the day.

It was 39 degrees out and they are still using the pay in advance and stand in the cold in a line outside to collect your tickets an hour before the show starts. Why?
The show was a bit different than the last Christmas show we saw there. It’s a bit corny and doesn’t follow the real history much. The mayor and cast are talented and funny.
The food was good, could have been hotter, the corn served at these shows is never great, the rolls are not as good as in the past, edible, but just. The pace of the meal seemed rushed compared to other visits.
Our server took good care of us, but it appeared he was stretched a bit thin, we noticed another table not served for probably fifteen minutes after sitting down.
The cinnamon apple drink was a beer with a shot of cinnamon moonshine for $16.00. Unless you like beer, it was undrinkable. At one time they offered a chilled Apple Pie Moonshine drink that was excellent.
SPOILER ALERT - don’t read further if you don’t want to read spoilers.
When the mayor shoots, the ricochet sound has been late in every show for over five of our visits… it’s a scripted miscue as are several others during the show. They do seem to get laughs every show.

2020 is definitely a year of memories! Tonight, we had reservations for 78 people to attend the 8 p.m. show. they recommend us to arrive at 7:15 due to the size of our group. When we arrived we were told the show was cancelled for technical difficulties. While I understand this can happen, I am disappointed in the way it was handled. First of all, I am the coordinator and I received no call about the cancellation. Secondly, our group had no other options to fall back on because all the other shows started at 6 and it was 7:30. They should have offered cash refunds, for every person, so they could at least replace their dinner. I am very disappointed with the way this situation was handled.

We bought 7 tickets to the Hatfield & McCoy show. We are out of state excited for this to be our half way drive point. My husband now has kidney stones and our entire trip is cancelled. Any recommendations on how to sell the tickets? I'm told no refunds or exanchges. I'm so upset up about the whole thing.

The food that was delivered to the table was left so we could eat throughout the remainder of the show. They do a good job of not bringing too much food that would cause you to need a doggie bag. I assume if you didn’t keep asking for more food they would bring you something to take the rest home with you but we didn’t have anything left. We didn’t overeat but we certainly didn’t leave hungry.

Do have to buy tickets ahead of time or can I buy them at the door?
Written June 8, 2023
Tickets can be at the door , but for the better seats and the high volume of visitors it’s better to buy ahead . If you’re too late it’ll probably be sold out . We got ours about 3 months ahead and there were only about 60 tickets left .
