Located on the main strip next to the Three Bears General Store. My son, who is four, was dying to go "digging for treasures". He did just that here and had a blast! It was $15.00 for the smallest gemstone bucket which was actually quite...More

It is tough to find rainy day activities in a region as built on outdoor experiences as Pigeon Forge. The gem mine is in a pavilion along the strip sheltered from the rain. Our youngest kids enjoyed panning for gems and then learning about their...More

I had a great time and found plenty of great stones. It was actually cheaper than when my wife and I did this at The Wisconsin Dells.

Got some great rocks, even found an arrow head (sure it wasnt on accident). But having a coupon is definitely worth it too.

For a family to do it would be a bit expensive! Best part they will tell you what gems you did find. Of coarse then they want u to have something made into jewelry.

We hit this little shop this summer, sort of reminiscing a trip years ago. It is expensive, 30 bucks for a bucket a teenager can knock out in 5 minutes.. But, that's not the target audience. Do this with 6 to 10 yo's, take your...More

Last year we stopped here to do the actual gem mining. The kids LOVED it, but it was rather pricey. This year, we stopped in just to look at the bin of gems. Kids kept saying they want to buy some "gems", so I figured...More

CindyLou13, First, I would like to thank you, both for your patronage and for your review. It sounds like there was a lot of confusion regarding your visits. As far as the Emerald goes, unfortunately it sounds like our employees had it staged in the...More

a4given1, Thank you for sharing your review with us. Coincidentally, the Baby Bear is our smallest Original Gem Stone Bucket. It has a nice mix for the beginner or one or two younger miners, however, we also have a sampler ($15) to give you an...More

We had an enjoyable experience, & the men outside helping were a lot of fun. Just be hesitant on what gems you want turned into something. We paid a lot, for a little return. It was still a lot of fun panning for stones.

I don't know their exact hours, but we went there fairly early one weekday, because it was a priority activity, and they were open and ready. I'm sure their hours are posted on their website.
