We stayed at Thunder Bear Hideaway, a cabin that's a 15 minute walk to the Trolley Station at Patriot Park. We got $3 wristbands and had unlimited trips up and down the Parkway.

When you get to Pigeon Forge park you car and ride the trolley any where that you might like to go, including Gatlinburg. It is a cheap way to get around -- plus everyone can sight see (including the driver). You have to experience it...More

A really nice way to get around Pigeon Forge area. Even have a trolley that takes you to Gatlinburg Welcome Center to catch the Gatlinburg Trolley. You don't have to fight the traffic or pay for parking. Very affordable and the drivers are very friendly...More

We always ride to Dollywood and back on the trolley since parking is expensive and traffic can sometimes be a little wild. Beginning January 2019 the price went from .50 per person (one way) to $2.50 per person. You can purchase a wristband for $3.00...More

Road the trolley to Dollywood for 50 cents per rider, each way ($2 total round trip for us). Parked for free at Patriot Park, boarded the trolley and was dropped off at the front gate of Dollywood. At the end of the day, picked up...More

We were here the first week of December, during the week and on the weekend. The only trolley that seemed to be on time was the North Parkway. We waited on the others. We went to Dollywood on Friday night. Left the park at 8:00...More

Riding the trolley to Dollywood is your best decision. No parking fees and you get dropped off at the front. Only .50 each way - what a bargain and the drivers are fun.

This is a cheap way to get around if you've got the time. We travel in a travel trailer so sometimes it's hard to get around. We went to The island which was a little over 2 miles from our campground but, it took over...More

Trolley Tour of Lights?? (8 Replies)
If you had to choose one, which Trolley Tour of Christmas Lights would you choose & why? The Pigeon Forge Fun Time Trolley or Gatlinburg's Winterfest Trolley? Or would you skip the Trolley tours altogether and just ride around looking at the lights on your own?

When we come up next week we are going to drive our self around and look at the lights because we will have our kids and our puppy dog with us.We plan on looking at the lights in both towns and we also like to drive all thru the city and off the beaten path too.No matter where we go we never get lost it seems like the roads are connect. The drive from Wiley Oakley all the way over past Ober and Ski Mountain is one of my favorites. But driving around also depends on the weather they are calling...More
