A great trip for the family. Don't miss this one. You would regret it.
What an awesome theme park. It is a great experience for any age. MY wife and I enjoyed the music shows as well as a couple of rides. Our daughter and her boyfriend enjoyed some rides and shows as well as shopping at all of the cool shops. The park is beautiful. The only downside is that it seems like you are always waling up hill. Make sure to go on the train.

    Beautiful
We visited Dollywood in order to see the non-releasable Eagles there and were not disappointed. The raptor show was so well done, and we got up close to America, one of the eagles. The train ride was so cool as it uses a steam engine and the whole park is filled with music. Food was good and not too expensive and everybody working there were so nice!

    So clean and friendly staff
Fun for all ages, no matter if you ride the roller coasters or not. Plenty of shows, entertainment, and food spots. The cinnamon bread at the Grist Mill is worth a try. We also enjoyed the fried green tomatoes at the front porch cafe. The wild prey show was short but informative. All staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. One of the cleanest parks I have ever seen.

    A great day at Dollywood
Three of us went on a Thursday for the day and had a nice time. Our first time was 2 years ago September - we were glad to experience the park completely open and recovered from 2 years earlier. We mostly just watched the shows and rode the train and river rapid ride and walked a lot. The BEST part was the Lumination night displays (especially on the west side) with lighthearted Halloween music, and pumpkin patch picture spots and carved pumpkins all over the park. We also found granny’s restaurant for all you can eat southern cooking - this is absolutely the best meal in the park. We spent $24 on two of the tiniest bowls of snack food… later for five dollars more, $27 +tax, I got all I could eat of the best food - we ate pot roast & fried chicken, potatoes, green beans, Mac cheese, cabbage, desserts, tea & Service was excellent. We liked that the park was open until 9

    Train & Cinnamon Bread!
We enjoyed attending Dollywood during the Harvest Festival. We don’t go on rides at theme parks so we can’t comment on those but we did ride the train and really enjoyed it! Everything we had heard about the cinnamon bread was true. So yummy with the icing! The shops at Dollywood are great too. Highly recommend Dollywood!

    Don't miss Dollywood!
The day at this park is an excellent value. They have upgraded many areas and the new roller coasters are modern and great! HOWEVER, this park has not lost it's southern and country roots. The food, entertainment and crafts are a great value and I never think twice about supporting the local craftsmen & women who have crafts for sale in this park. One of the most amazing areas of this park is the bald Eagle area. These are treated and healed eagles thast cannot be placed back in the wild. The area for them is amazing and watching them is a sure treat! A much greater value than many of the parks in Orlando. Don't miss it!!

    Relaxing and Fun!
We went on a Wednesday and it was the perfect time to visit! There was little to no wait time for all of the rides. This allowed us to ride most rides multipe times, which the kids loved! It was a pretty, breezy warm day but not smoldering hot like the summer months.

Dan the security guard is amazing
First impressions are everything to us and the first employee we encountered was Dan, one of the security guards working the entrance. He was smiling, kind and knowledgeable. It’s nice to just have a genuine human experience. Dan made us feel like we were at home. He was smiling ear to ear. Go Dan! Most importantly thank you for being you.

    Very Great Day
We had an awesome time here, celebrating our wedding anniversary! The music shows were fantastic! Our favorite was held in the Dream More Theater. All the performances were fabulous. We spent the whole day sightseeing, riding the rides, going to shows, and of course...eating! The barbeque was very tasty.

    Good theme park
Lovely park. Good, basic food options and a good amount of rides. We had to leave a bit early because my autistic kid was getting uncomfortable in the heat, so we only really experienced the right half of the park. The decorations were really nice and the staff was friendly.

Very disappointed. We had to make a reservation to get in so we paid in advance, there was nothing listed on the site as to what was open or closed. My daughter is a big Dolly Parton fan and the museum, music venues, and anything associated with her were closed. It would have been nice to know that before purchasing the tickets. Over $300 for 4 people, no discounts even though the exhibits and rides were running about half and with the food and garden festival most of that was closed.

Even the food part wasn't done correctly. It is hard enough to speak with a mask on but on their signage for meals it stated that a turkey leg comes with coleslaw and fries. As we picked up our meal the person let us know that coleslaw was now an extra charge and they didn't have time to change the signage.

Besides the train ride and carousel, this was an expensive disaster.

We have had season passes for years. We didn’t get them this year and decided based on reviews to pay for one day tickets. I recently had family go to Disney Works that raved about the experience with less capacity and strict safety rules. I thought by reading Dollywood’s info on the website it would be a similar experience. Unfortunately that was wrong. I went on a Saturday with a reservation and it was supposed to be limited capacity. Although the parking lot wasn’t full the park was just as full as Memorial Day weekend 2019. Lightening Rod is down for the season-never saw a notice for that. Wild Eagle went down several times as did Drop Line. Wait times were crazy. Blazing Fury had an hour wait- really for the worst ride in history! Fire Chaser was 75-100 minutes all day. I’m all for distancing and understand that there are fewer seats. . We finally bought a pretzel to eat because we didn’t want to wait over an hour for food.

What Dollywood forgot to tell the public is that they are at about two thirds capacity but they cut their employees by over half. The poor people working there were stressed and overwhelmed by the crowds.

As for the Covid protections. They were a joke. No one paid attention to the 6 foot rule and many guests didn’t wear masks. I was so uncomfortable most of the day. Rides were disinfected once an hour and while waiting in a line watching a eating area I never once in 40 minutes even saw any of the tables wiped down. I never saw any handrails wiped down. But I think I know why I can’t find hand sanitizer for my classroom. It’s all at Dollywood. They did use it on every ride. I several times I went to the bathroom just to wash all the sanitizer off because my hands were so sticky.
We have always loved Dollywood but I won’t be back for a long time. It’s not worth it unless you can buy the Timesaver passes which I can’t afford and they will have to start hiring more workers and enforce the safety rules.

Our party of two adults decided to visit the park while in the area. The main reason for visiting was to see the Christmas lights and decorations. We didn't particularly care about the rides, but knew we would enjoy seeing the decorations, hearing the Christmas music, etc. We purchased day specific tickets online ahead of time as they are limiting admissions at this time.

We arrived at the park, got our temperature checked and took the tram to the main entrance. We proceeded directly to the admission gates as we had our ticket vouchers on the phone. All of that went smoothly.

The only ride we rode was the train. We got tickets for it for a future time as it was currently full and spent the waiting time wondering around the area, checking out the decorations and so forth. The train ride was phenomenal! I'd like to go back and do it during the day now!

We spent the rest of the evening viewing the decorations, listening to some of the outdoor shows and a little shopping in craftsman's valley.

I have to say that every single employee that we dealt with was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We'd definitely like to return.

I’m a reasonable person, and we have visited many theme parks all around the country. I’m aware that waiting in lines is a part of the process. However, the park was open the day we attended (April 7, 2021) from 10 am to 6 pm. It was allegedly to be limited crowd size, but that’s immaterial. This was the experience we had:

Purchased tickets online days ahead for $80/person. Pulled onto property at 0950. Paid to park. Waited for tram, then in security line, then in the line to scan tickets. Entered park at 1045.

Ride lines were extremely long. For a bit only one ride had a line less than an hour and three had over two hour waits. We tried to strategize as best we could but we spent nearly two hours (1/4 of the time the park is open this day!!) in one line. We had to forgo many rides because there is literally not enough time. A quick note about the Dollywood bonus item you can purchase to cut lines—costs $40s to have 8 usages or $50s to have unlimited usage. I think $80 for 8 hours of park access is more than enough to spend, and I’m not of the opinion that in should have to insure that purchase with another 50-60% investment to increase its value.

We delayed lunch until 2 pm because we wanted the lunch rush/lines to subside. But alas, we spent an hour and 15 min in a line for food. All of the food lines were like that, and in the area we were at, all three concession stands had ONE register open/person taking orders. There were one or two registers vacant.

Staff I encountered were pleasant enough. Trash cans were full. Grounds were pretty and attractions all seemed nice. Rides were good quality.

All told, I won’t return and I will discourage anyone from visiting Dollywood by relating our experience with them.

In early Oct crowds were starting to peak. Allow 40 min. to park, stand in line to get a temp check, take a tram to entrance for yet another line for bag and scan security check before line #3 to buy tickets. Buy tix online before to save the 10+ min. 3rd line. Season passes may be worth it if visiting 2 or more times! Indoor entertainment venues were closed due to COVID, but there were ample number of smaller ones with quality music to enjoy. Get the DW phone app and check ride wait times on it or posted throughout the park. They ranged from 10 to 70 min. after noon with 40-60 min. being common for major rides. The train had two-thirds of seats blocked off for social distancing that made it virtually impossible to board unless one paid extra for "skip the line" privileges. That's frustrating. DW is closed on Tues. & Thur.'s in Oct., so the Wed after we visited, the park reached capacity and turned people away. Stay until it gets dark to see the many impressive Halloween decorations and luminaries lit up to their splendor!

Had a really fun time at Dollywood on our vacation. The Mystery Mine coaster was fun with great theming, but knocked our heads around a few too many times to give it a second ride. The other coasters were not exactly smooth rides either. Lightning Rod was a stellar ride, when we finally got to ride it. The coaster was down for maintenance until the late afternoon and then went down again while we were in line. The ride has a problematic history when it comes to going down for maintenance. After waiting in line for over an hour, our longest wait of the day, we finally got a ride. The ride was fantastic! The ride was smooth and very fun. While the ride time is short at about 90 seconds, it did not disappoint when it came to twists and turns. Got some good airtime too! We were able to ride all 7 roller coasters in our one day trip, with some other activities mixed in. The real highlight was the food pass available for the festival. For just $30 we were able sample 5 of the exclusive festival foods. We purchased two passes to give us 10 samplings. We purchased the passes after finishing riding coasters for the day, with about 2 hours until park close. Lines were relatively short, physically, with less than 10 people in most of the food lines at a time. Wait times for the food, however, were long and frustrating. At every location we visited, the food was almost entirely premade. If anything needed done at all, it was the tossing of a couple scoops together in a boat. We waited times upwards of 15 minutes at each location. That means we only were able to use a total of 9 of our 10 samples before park close. The food was excellent, and the pass was an incredible deal. We only wish that the lines could have been dealt with more efficiently. We ate all of our samples while waiting in line for other samples. We wish we could have sat down to enjoy our food but otherwise pretty good day at the park.

This by far the best amusement park. Even with the COVID restrictions and limitations it is still Christmas in the Smokies at Dollywood. You need to do a better job of planning but with a season pass and 3 days you can experience it all. You need reservations to get in and you will have lines for limited seating shows. Wear a mask and social distance and you’ll have a good day.

Dollywood theme park and resorts should be a model for the rest of the country’s plan and execution of how to reopen public outdoor amusement and social interaction.

First; there’s probably not a more prepared/trained staff in the country. Every member of the resort and the theme park has on a mask and seems to be responsible for watching for mask compliance from visitors. I mean every single one, from maintenance/janitorial to general manager’s and security. The exceptions are children 3 and under, water rides, and “mask free zones” that are set up around the park. There are new hand washing stations all over the park and hand sanitizer pumps on every post, wall, entrance and exit of every doorway and shop. I am not joking when I say they have enough sanitizer for a medium size U.S City. There are dedicated staff that continuously, spray and wipe down railings, handles, benches, and general surfaces in the parks and resort area’s.

Second; the park, rides, restaurants and shops are truly operating at 50%< capacity with clearly marked 6’ spacing in lines and choke points throughout the resort. The rides are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after every run and allowed to take a “ghost” run to dry between each run. Somehow, this does not make for longer wait times, probably because of the capacity limitations.

As always, the food is exceptionally good for a theme park and the staff is friendly, albeit a little more direct and diligent about safety, in a southern charm sort of way. The prices remain a bargain compared to Disney or other larger theme parks.

In this visitors opinion, Dolly is doing it right. One gets the feeling that the staff truly cares about the safety of the visitors and the staff. Don’t hesitate to go!

We have always loved our trip to Dollywood except for this year! It hasn’t just been the mask issue but I contribute the problems we have had to the mask issue. The attitudes of the workers are very sour!! I heard at least three of the workers yelling at people for different things. Then my husband waited in line for 20 minutes to get a corn dog and the lady would only give him 4 little packets of ketchup for a foot long 12 dollar hotdog! She was rude about it too. I watched as a man working on the tram yelled at a sweet little old lady that wasn’t being rebellious but just hadn’t gotten behind the line yet and made her upset. My first experience on the tram this morning was this: the whole time we were riding in was her telling us what we couldn’t do in Dollywood and it was very depressing. This used to be a fun park but it has become very stressful! The mask thing is very socialistic and it is starting to show in the attitudes of people. Trump 2020 Dollywood get over yourself and remember to be fun!!

Took between 1 hour 30 minutes and 1 hour 45 minutes just to make it from parking lot "C" to the front gate on a Wednesday morning. This place obviously does not have the staff for the amount of tickets that are sold. Once inside it gets even worse, 1 hour 30 minute waits and more just to eat, been here before and this food is definitely not worth that kind of wait. At the booths selling drinks they do not take cash so I had to put a $3 charge on a card, The lines for fast foods were far too long and the only thing the staff here could do was apologize that they did not have enough staff for the park. We left at 1:45 pm after arriving at 10:15am, but we weren't the only ones leaving due to this understaffed overbooked park. I feel I have been ripped off by Dollywood and to be honest we all have. Wasted money and time that could have been used elsewhere.
