We visited the hotel for the first time in ten years. It has been completely upgraded. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the common areas were well kept. Unfortunately, the cost of the rooms has more than doubled since our last stay. Dinner at their restaurant was good (both the food and the service). The continental breakfast was free, but the staff could not keep up with replenishing the food. Towards the end of the breakfast period, they ran out of many items (e.g., coffee. butter, bread, orange juice). I guess you get what you pay for. Recommendation: get there early in the morning.

We have stayed in rooms and also stayed at the campground. Our experience has been wonderful each time. The scenery is beautiful and there is wildlife activity on the water. The entire area has plenty of lights around and it is safe and clean. The restaurant is clean and with a view of the lake. It is always a wonderful time.

Very few people. Felt safe and it was nice to be outside. Camping area is clean. Avoid the slots that say pull-thru. You are right on the road.

When we made our reservation, we were told that we would have adjoining rooms. We have 9 year old twins. After parking in a 1/4 full parking lot, we were told at checkin they were sold out and could not accommodate adjoining rooms. We ordered drinks, appetizer and entrees at the hotel restaurant. They forgot our appetizer until I reminded them. They delivered all of our entrees except my daughters chicken tenders. After 20 minutes, I asked about my daughter’s tenders and was told they would be out shortly. After another 15 minutes, I asked another waiter about the tenders and was told the order was just entered and be delivered shortly. It took yet another 15 minutes to get tenders after being told a lie initially. We were told we would not have to pay for the tenders. We left the restaurant after thinking we charged the meal to our room. Thirty minutes later I get a call at our room to come down and pay our bill after being told we could charge to the room. When I received our bill, there was a charge for the tenders. We paid the bill after they removed the tenders.

Fortunately, we only needed to stay one night while we visited Shiloh.

We really enjoyed staying at the park. We stayed in one of the Villas which was newer and had wifi. It was nice a quiet. We rented a Kayak from the marina and were very pleased.

This state park is very well maintained. It is exceptionally clean and has good places to walk, hike, play disc golf, play regular golf, go swimming, watch birds and other wildlife....and the view can't be beat.

Spent the day at this park this past Sunday. It’s been several years since we’ve visited this park and it was nice to be there again. It’s beautiful and well-maintained. We saw many people enjoying swimming, boating, and fishing. The park also has a marina, disc golf, a golf course, and there was an area to play sand volleyball. We like to hike and we hiked the park’s Island Loop Trail and it was so beautiful and peaceful! We passed a group of 3 people shortly after beginning the hike and then we never saw anyone else. The trail is 2.8 miles and very easy and the only natural surface trail in this park. There is one other short trail in the park (1.2 miles) but it is a paved trail near the park inn. The Island Loop Trail would be great to do with children but don’t let little ones get ahead of you as there was a deep cistern just a few feet from one part of the trail that could be dangerous. After our hike, we hung out at a picnic table in the shade for a few hours and enjoyed the views of the lake, the birds, watching others fish, etc. We ended our day there with dinner at the Captain’s Galley Restaurant located in the park inn.

Pickwick Landing Park offers disc golf. It’s a bit of a challenge as there are long hills and lots of walking. I suggest bring water or something to stay hydrated. Over all the course is laid out well. I didn’t see advertising for the course just found it while driving around.

Love the Christmas lights and display at the landing. Was traveling with husband. We drove through to see the lights. Was beautiful. So happy to see the keep "Christ in Christmas" in so many of the displays. Beautiful.
