Beautiful scenery , abundant wildlife, magnificent camping and walking facilities , outstanding food and wine . All of this delivered by the most capable and helpful guides Rory and Karl. For those who enjoy interesting geology , and history , this place has it all. We enjoyed perfect weather and a very friendly group of companion walkers in the party . I could not recommend this walk more . If you enjoy it as much as I did - you won’t want to come home !!

The four day walk takes you from one end of Maria Island to the other. The scenery is beautiful, and we saw lots of wildlife, including Tasmanian Devils, Cape Barren Geese, wombats, and wallabies. The beaches are pristine and the water crystal clear. Our two guides were excellent. On the third day you hav the option of climbing Mount Maria, or Bishop and Clerk, or do neither. We chose Bishop and Clerk, which was well worth the effort. You sleep in bush cabins on the first two nights and in beautifully restored house on the final night. For us, four days was perfect.

10 stars! So well organised, professional, super staff, gourmet food / wine. Small group, walking gave lots of options and no pressure to push on to optional walks/ climbs . Felt physically challenged especially climbing Butcher and Clerk but so worth it. Accommodation was better than anticipated , felt truly spoilt but the staff and the meals they prepared. Wow! Lucky to have amazing weather and lots of opportunities to swim every day and along the routes. Holly, one of the guides, is very knowledgeable and gave lots of talks about the island/ indigenous history/ animals/ topography. Can see myself visiting Maria again at some stage. Just an awesome place.

What a wonderful experience. Our first guided hike and cannot say enough about the experience. Amazing scenery, plenty of wildlife, photo opportunities galore. The guides made the trip so much more than just "looking" at scenery. Their commentary, information and the meals they prepared were the absolute best. The best of local produce and included Tasmanian cheese and wines. The bush camps were hidden gems and Bernacchi House was a treat. We had a lovely group however still had enough time to explore on our own. I would definitely recommend this walk.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Maria Island walk experience. The scenery is stunning and the birds and animals amazing and we enjoyed some fabulous swims at the beautiful beaches. But it was the guides who contributed most to making this walk an unforgettable experience. Amelie and Fin were very knowledgeable about the island and its flora and fauna but they managed to impart that knowledge in a very unassuming way. They were very patient in answering questions and dealing with blisters and other minor ailments along the way. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. They also did a great job of encouraging us to take on any challenges we encountered. But most of all we valued their culinary skills. Each of our meals was outstanding and expertly prepared. Apart from the delicious main meals, we were offered lots of snacks to keep us going between meals. There was also plenty of delicious Tassie wine on offer. Our group was very friendly and we gelled very well despite ranging in age from the mid 20s to the mid 60s. All in all this was a magical experience which I highly recommend others to try.
