Ryan is simply remarkable, probably the best tour guide ever. Extremely knowledgeable, personable, witty, funny, responsive and the girls said he was "easy on the eyes." There was one couple whose English was not so great so Ryan immediately began speaking with them in what they later told us was grammatically perfect Spanish. We highly recommend this tour with Ryan.

Ryan delivered an entertaining and lighthearted tour of Nashville. He took us on a great route around town, covering music, history, the civil rights movement, and tips for restaurants and bars. He provided several great photo opportunities. We highly recommend a tour with Ryan!

Just spent the weekend celebrating with my sis for her bachelorette party in Nashville. As neither of us had been to Nashville before we thought the Nash Bash Bar tour would be a good place to start. We had a great time!! Our guide Ryan was awesome and took us to some fun places!! My personal favorite was the Bourban Street Blues and Boogie Bar, however it was highly entertaining to see Ryan sing Like a Virgin during karaoke... he was a good sport :) Every one in our group had a fun time and it was a great way to kick off our weekend in Nashville!!!

The trip itself was informative but Ryan really stole the show. He has a great depth of knowledge on all things Nashville and is an incredibly proficient guide. I am planning on booking this same tour for my parents when they visit. Highly recommended.

We were in Nashville for a girl’s weekend. Ryan was awesome and took great care of us! We loved all the bars that we went to since there was something for everyone. He was very knowledgeable and fun to hang out with. Definitely a must if you want a fun taste of the Nashville night life!

I visited Nashville for the first time in mid 2017 for business. Now mind you, I am not a country music fan and thought of Nashville as just another southern town. Well was I wrong. I was thoroughly impressed with the city: Clean, safe, very easy to navigate and get around, great people, great food, sophisticated and of course great music. Even as a non-country music person, listening to live bands in any of the dozens of venues in and around the city core, you cannot help but get into the groove. As part of the business trip, one of my associates arranged for few of us to take a walking tour of the city core. We connected with Ryan and his tour. I must say that not only was the tour informative, providing both current and historical information of the city (of which is vast and incredibly interesting how Nashville shaped a lot of the 19th century politics and policies), it was terrifically entertaining. Ryan definitely has the command of the information but presents in a very interesting format. Great sense of humor and very interactive with his tour group. I really was smitten with Nashville, so much so that I took my wife couple of weeks ago for a personal visit. We spent 4 days touring and taking in the city. I suggested we take the walking tour with Ryan again and so we did. Just to show you that I found the repeat performance just as entertaining as the first time. My wife loved the tour and so will you. Happy travels!!

I am an official two-timer…someone who has taken two of Ryan’s amazing Nashville tours. If y’all are looking for fun (and historical and educational) tours of Nashville, look no further than Really Entertaining Tours. I give Ryan TEN stars and will definitely book his tours again the next time I am in town.

My mother and I booked his walking tour and bar crawl. During the walking tour, we learned about Nashville’s history and stories that history books never teach you. This tour also helps you draw out a mental map of the downtown area and you will feel like a local when Ryan sets you free. The bar crawl tour was exactly what we were looking for – a tour that gives you an inside look at the more non-tourist bars of Nashville. Let’s just say that this tour brought out some honky tonky – my mom and I joined our entire group on stage for karaoke at the end of the tour! We are not even heavy drinkers, but the drinks we had were cheap and strong!

Don’t hesitate…book all of Ryan’s tours when visiting Nashville. Ryan also makes himself readily available via text to all of his clients. I texted him multiple times for advice on places to go and he always responded very quickly. He is a great tour guide and a genuinely great person. His love of Nashville is infectious (although who can’t help but fall in love with Music City?)!

My husband and I had not been to Nashville before and were not familiar with any of the history of the town. Ryan was on time and ready to go. He had information and history to share but I felt like most of the information was scripted. I felt that the pace of the tour was rushed. We had some older adults in our group who were having a hard time keeping up with the walking pace and some of them dropped out of the tour. While walking, Ryan was frequently on his phone texting, which kept him from interacting with his group. I was uncomfortable with his talk about giving him a 5 star review and the pressure to tip. I realize that getting good reviews on Trip Advisor is important to build a business and I would like to give him a good review, but the truth is I was disappointed with this tour and felt like I wasted my money.

Hello Jean, First of all, let me express how profoundly sorry I am that you feel this tour was not up to expectations. This week has indeed been one of my most challenging in business as I am expanding more than I ever thought possible. It appears indeed I am experiencing something some business owners call "growing pains," which on your end, as a consumer, is not something you should ever have to worry about, but something I feel I would be remiss if I did not do my best to contextualize. For the first time I have hired on new guides as all of the administrative work in addition to the "tour-guiding" has fallen on me and that "texting" as you put it was me organizing all of the names of the people on my tour. I can certainly see how that looked like "texting." All I can say is this that this week is the FIRST time I have gotten anything less than a four star rating (and those are few), and I never believed I'd ever get a 2, even though I know even the top-rated Trip Advisor businesses in the country have them. This however is a trend that I will do everything in my power to stop. Firstly, what I am most profoundly disappointed in is this idea that anyone felt "pressured" to tip. I even go out of my way to say that no one is under any obligation to do so and that the only reason I bring it up is because people had asked me repeatedly at the end of the tours if it was "allowed." I even state EMPHATICALLY that it is not expected in any way and more importantly if you feel this was a good tour to please leave a review. Somehow in this communication, you seemed to not only have interpreted tipping but also a good review as an obligation. I will look at how we can improve the languaging but please let me be clear: we won't stop asking people to write us a good review if they enjoyed the tour and, especially with the new guides I have hired on to help, won't leave out that one can tip if they choose. It has only been this week where you and one other person have said that they did not like the follow up text and/or the message at the end of the tour. I am going to reflect on how this might need to change. At the same time please understand, Jean, I still intend to do 5-star tours and I still intend to ask for reviews. This is not something I will change nor something I think needs changing. I'm not sure where you felt pressured but again, I go OUT OF MY WAY to inform without any communication of obligation. I don't even say, "Tips are appreciated," as some guides do because I feel that is too "obligation-sounding." So again, I'm not sure why you felt this way but I will look at the wording. I stated earlier that I'm hiring on a few guides as I've gotten more popular, but they will be working partly on tips as well, and I think every guest should know they can tip if they want. It's part of being a tour guide and I will go to bat for my guides on that. I'm hoping these recent snafus are simply growing pains that all businesses must go through. Most important to me is your experience of the tour itself which you said was "scripted." Wow. I'm not sure what to say to that as I HAVE NO SCRIPT! I literally have a collection of historically-accurate while entertaining stories that I feel to the best to communicate the essence of Nashville in 90 minutes. But all feedback is instructive and will look at how we can improve. Finally, I would like to address the "fast pace." When I started this tour I wanted to be able to communicate the essence of Nashville in 90 minutes. This was easy when I had 5 people at a time. Now I'm pushing 20 at times. Never thought I'd see that day! But we will either have to inform that the tour is longer (105 minutes?) or see less. Walkers fall on a bell curve - a few fast ones, a few slow ones, and most fall somewhere in the middle. I just experimented with this today - we had 18 people - and are working on a solution. Regardless, thank you for your feedback, Jean. I don't like the 2 stars on there but you are simply offering your opinion, and we will do our best to improve. Take care, Ryan

Ryan was a great tour guide. He was very informative and had a great sense of humor. We got to see and learn about a lot in around 2 hours of walking. I love learning the history behind the places I visit, so if that sounds like you, then you would definitely enjoy this tour. Then you are in downtown and able to walk to many places to eat or listen to music. I would definitely recommend!
