This was our first time seeing a show at the Ascend. It was a well laid out beautiful venue. not a bad seat in the house. I hope to see more shows here in the future.

Cool venue, right on the Cumberland River. I really enjoyed the layout of the facility. We did not sit in the yard, but got actually seats in the bowl. I much prefer this - having a chair is nice! The spacing is great, plenty of room to stand, sing, and dance right at your seat, and then sit when you need a break. Nice view of the City from here as well.

Ok I'm that guy. Lots of things to say are great but I'm stuck on one point.
I'm a disabled veteran and can't stand up for a long period of time without great pain. While waiting for my wife to get our pre purchased lawn chairs, which is way off to the side, I sat on the short wall. Security had issue with that and made me stand even after I expressed I was just waiting on my wife, who was 10 feet away getting chairs, and that im disabled. I want to say again, way off to the side, no possible way to block a view. Like I said, fine im that guy with a sigular issue that rates low. So be it. The whole issue made nonsense whatsoever. Poor policy and over reactive security power trip.

Beautiful views while listening to my favorite bands.
The venue was really cool, right on the river.
Parking was super expensive but overall cool place.

Also got a margarita in a boot. Definitely recommend

Awesome Venue!! As far as I could tell there are actually no areas of this place with a bad seat! Great location! Decently priced tickets and seating.

My son and I attended the Alicia Keys concert this weekend at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville. We found the venue to be even better than we expected. The website helped us find parking easily. Checking in was not a hassle even though there was a bag check. When we went to get a drink, the Live Nation employees were a delight - singing and dancing with us while we waited. The restrooms were clean and accessible. The security made us feel safe. We could hear the music from multiple spots in the audience...and the temperature felt like the crisp start of Fall. As we left, we both said we prefer outdoor concerts any day to being stuck inside in a chair.

Saw Train, Jewel and Blues Travelers. Great show. Very nice venue. A lot of drunk people and a lot of impolite people who stood the entire concert.

As a venue, the amphitheater is pretty great. Lawn seating is plentiful, the tickets themselves are generally cheap, and the sound quality is good. That being said, I have two issues. The first is the pricing of venue sundries. Tallboy beers are $20...which isn't that outrageous considering it's 10$ per 12oz, but it's still expensive -- especially for Nashville. Lawn chairs are available for rent for $10, but the kicker is that you are not allowed to bring in personal lawn chairs OR personal blankets, which I think is ridiculous. My second issue is that there are several areas in the lawn with obstructed views. You can avoid them, but they are important to be aware of.

Still, all that being said, I haven't yet been disappointed by a show there (until I got home and checked my wallet, that is). If you're a drinker, I recommend pregaming somewhere to minimize your alcohol expenditure at the venue.

Encouragingly,

Clayton Cohn

I came all the way from MN to see Parker McCollum here last night. A storm rolled in after the first opening act and they clearly told us to leave the venue due to severe weather while stating this concert will be postponed. We were instructed to follow social media for updates about rescheduling, along with many staff telling us the same thing (I have a picture attached that shows them saying it will be rescheduled). We had no other choice than to go home. Updates were posted more than one hour apart during the storm with no instructions, until nearly 10pm rolls around and they say doors open with Parker hitting the stage in 20mins. Not only did they scratch the second performer, but the show was unrealistic for us to get back too. To drive back to the venue, find parking on a Saturday night, walk in through security, find our seats and then get Parker to sing all within that small window is disappointing. They should have done better. Many people who were in my shoes deserve a refund for the way this was handled and the terrible communication that was given from the start.

Very cool venue! Saw Jack White last night. Sat in row P which gave us a great view of the stage, especially with large screens flanking each side of the stage.

Complaint:
1) they placed our phones in a tamper proof bag during the show,
2) they do not sale plastic bottles of water inside. They do sale an aluminum can of water, called Death Water that will set you back north of $5,
3) 25 oz cans of beer are $13.50
4) bottle of cheap wine is $33

Good parking in the garage across the street.
