Overview
More
The George Jones is a world-class entertainment venue located in downtown Nashville honoring country music icon George Jones. The recently-renovated 4-story, 46,000 square foot building features live country music, a smokehouse BBQ restaurant, rooftop bar, a museum, a gift shop and private event space. George Jones had more country songs in the top 40 of the Billboard chart than any artist in history. "When people ask me who my favorite country singer is, I say, 'You mean besides George Jones?'" That's what Johnny Cash, and millions of others, have said about "The Possum," who gets the Music City shrine he rightly deserves with the George Jones Museum. The country music icon made the world cry with "He Stopped Loving Her Today" and made the world hiccup with "White Lightning." The New York Times calls the museum a "lovingly curated shrine" that is just like George's music: "a deep trove of raw feeling, triumph, tragedy, humor, hokiness and eccentricity." The food was great as was the live band playing on the stage in front of us. They have a great rooftop bar with a nice view of the Nashville skyline. Highly recommend this place - for both good food and drinks!

We went here for late lunch and were disappointed. I had brisket and it was very dry. Our server was impersonal and not helpful. The entertainment was good. After we ate we went to rooftop for drink and the views were great and relaxing!More

It's in a great location but there are 10 better choices right around it. This place is very average in every way. Service was okay if not a little slow. Food was okay as well. Edible & hot (as advertised!).More

Attended an event at The George Jones on 7/10/18. Great venue with very friendly wait staff. The food was good for bar food including some great desserts. The rooftop view was great and the band that evening on the 1st floor was excellent.

Great spot for rooftop drinks downtown off Broadway. Roof top bar faces the Cumberland River and Nissan Stadium and has comfortable seating all around. Good tunes and misters keep you cool as you enjoy the view.
