Great afternoon adventure

Great experience. Tours are limited given the distillery is an active production area and they are trying to keep covid impact to a minimum. History of the company is the most interesting part. Strongly recommend a quick stopover to taste the first Tennessee whiskey.

Humiliated
May 2021 • Solo
Visited distillery early today after TN Legends distillery. Staff was cordial but firm on social distancing and masks in store. When I questioned why, the staff responded California's Corporate required it despite no such rule in TN. Very confusing. Purchased items and left. No such restrictions in other stores. Felt humiliated by arbitrary application despite being fully vaccinated for 3 months. I will not return. Abuse your social power on someone else.

History Background/No Tour

Really excited about taking tour while in Nashville during week.Disappointed no tours of facility during week, only on weekends. I took only option of sitting social distanced at bar for power point presentation.Great info and great tasting. My personal favorite, even though I had their gold rated Sour Mash in past was the Cask Variety "Maderia" Bourbon! (Bourbon aged in wine barrel.) Probably my top favorite of any Bourbons I have ever had!

A nice setting
May 2021
The tasting area is nice and open, and you can overhear the tasting tour even if you aren’t a part of it. The whiskey itself is limited, only 4 tastings and the pecan liquor is almost unbreakably sweet.

We had a VERY informative tour guide. I wish I could remember his name, but this young man did such a good job. He went through a powerpoint and really gave us time to enjoy the whiskey. The area had plenty of other tasting options which allowed us to have a great time!

Fun and Informative

Fun and informative experience. We are not big drinkers, but my partner discovered he loves whiskey from this visit. PJ was our host and he was great!

Great experience

Our guide was new but did an excellent job. We learned the "proper" way to drink whiskey! They aren't allowing tours at the moment due to COVID, but they use a wonderful picture presentation to accompany the tasting. Informative, fun and tasty!

Informative Whiskey Tasting with a History Lesson
Mar 2021 • Couples
We spontaneously decided to attend a whiskey tasting at the Nelson Green Brier Distillery when on the final days of a week-long Tennessee road trip. We sampled a flight of four varieties of whiskey/bourbon. The host was incredibly informative and gave a great story of the history of Tennessee Whiskey, the prohibition and Nelson Green Brier Distillery all while giving a lesson on how to properly taste and enjoy whiskey. It was a very enjoyable experience with a small, intimate group!

Short, sweet and informative
Mar 2021 • Friends
We chose the whiskey tasting which includes four whiskeys and a presentation about the history of the distillery as well as some more genral history and info about whiskey more generally. Our host was Zach who was informative but also funny and engaging. The whiskey was excellent. Unfortunately, spirits cannot be shipped from Tennessee and I was not up to packing bottles in my already overstuffed luggage. Our firend Michael however did make soem purchases in the gift shop and they do include bubble wrap to make packing if you have room easy enough,

Exceptional
Dec 2020 • Friends
I visited last year and of course the tour was way better pre-covid due to the new safely measures... however, we were fortunate enough to get the same person educating us on our experience. Harry has a way with connecting with his guests and making it feel like we are a part of the History of the Nelson’s Green Briar. This is a total must when you are in Nashville! Do yourself a favor and ask for Harry to be your amazing guide.
