The people were very nice and the wooden carving was beautiful! Grounds or garden need a little spruced up but worth a visit.

The Upper Room was within walking distance of our hotel. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who offered to show us a video about the chapel and the artwork. The video was about 10 minutes long and worth watching. We then visited the chapel. It's up a flight of stairs. Behind the altar is a beautiful wood carving... More

We are Methodists and learned more here about John Wesley and Methodism. There is a museum which housed a lot of very old and interesting artifacts. We watched a video when we arrived detailing information about the stained glass window in the chapel which is really beautiful. The staff was very helpful and the visit is free, but you can... I went the Mon after Christmas. They were closed for the holiday but reopening the next day - my last half day in Nashville. So glad I went back. Had to make it a fast trip thru to hit the road. Wish I'd had time to watch the video. Very peaceful. Super nice people working. Got some great mementos to... More

Fantastic museum. Wish we had more time. We found it by accident and it was almost closing. The Museum Curator answered my sons questions about a book in the collection. A special treat for Methodists, a must stop for everybody.

We were looking for something different to do in Nashville and I found this on TripAdvisor. The wood carving of the Last Supper is amazing. There are some unique Christian artifacts in the small museum too. A nice gift shop and very friendly staff.

When I walked into the Upper Room Chapel and saw the wood carving on Da Vinci's "Last Supper" chills ran through my body. This is a special place where one soaks in spirituality from the architecture, the simple design of the chapel, the wood replica of Da Vinci's art and the fact that it is on the upper floor--it is... We visited this place while we were in Nashville, Tennessee.Upon arrival there is the option to view a video about both the stained glass windows and Last Supper carving. The artifacts are so magnificent. The beauty starts as you look at the blue stained glass window that goes from the gift shop level all the way up to the balcony level. The bookstore... The Upper Room devotional is part of my daily life, so I was excited to visit the Upper Room Headquarters in Nashville. The nativity exhibits are breathtaking. I enjoyed the Egg exhibit. The Wesley artifacts and the historic Bibles and manuscripts ere meaningful. I appreciated the beautiful Chapel and the life sized carving of the Last Supper. The prayer chapel... More

We found this gem while looking for a place to buy a Deneen Pottery mug. We watched the 15 min video, then went to the Upper Room and saw the beautiful wood carving of The Last Supper and the stained glass. Said a prayer in the prayer chapel. Then on to the museum where we saw many beautiful items, including... More
