Really nice urban park

This is a beautiful urban park that borders the Cumberland River with great walking trails, picnic areas, ball fields. It is very quiet and peaceful and is well maintained.

Nashville does have a large number of parks and this one is convenient to the East Nashville residents. You can do just about everything here. There is a golf course that's easy to play. A very large dog park is there too. Water is nearby and I believe you can access the Cumberland River here too. Several friends live nearby... More

Attended 2 afternoon baseball games at Shelby park 1 and 2. Found some much needed shade on a hot summer day. (#2 has morning sun and afternoon shade - while #1 has morning shade and afternoon sun.) Parking fine. Didn't wander around much. No private coolers. Dogs okay. Was able to view the games with our dog from our private... More

Was in town for the week for baseball tournament in Shelby Park and so beforehand I was able to make use of the trails and park area. Beautiful walks around the park with kids playground, disc golf, etc amenities.

The park is very safe with lots of wildlife to see. We saw deer on the golf course, snakes in the pond, turtles, lots of mallards, birds and small fish. The walk was very comfortable and the parking was great.

This park is a very large walking park, that has some aviary spots, and in general is a great place to jog, ride a bike, and walk your dog. Not much else to say as its a park!

The Greenway and parks are connected by bike paths that lead all over Davidson County. Well maintained and safe. There are hundreds of out-of-the-way places including the several pedestrian bridges and interconnecting paths. Anyone could take several days exploring this unusual Nashville feature. I suggest a well planned bicycle expedition with a packed lunch(s), as anyone could easily explore the entire... More
