Found the best prices for t-shirts and souvenirs at Cotton Eyed Joe's, on the corner of Broadway and Second Ave. The store could use a good dusting. The staff was helpful, when asked for assistance.

Loved shopping here, on my recent trip to Nashville. Found a cute outfit for my daughter, also cowgirl boots for the two of us. Everyone we met in the stores was super friendly and helpful. Local restaurants and ever-present live music were both appreciated.

Lots on bars. Hooters, BB Kings, Coyote Ugly, Hard Rock and a few little joints. Shopping is so, so, with the usual boot places with inflated prices to make up for the bog2free deals.

This was our first time in Nashville, and it was awesome. We were on a road trip and drove up from Florida. After 3 hours of sleep, 13 hours in a car, and getting stuck in rush hour traffic as we arrived in the city, we were a little grumpy. BUT, as soon as we walked into the city - we started on Second Avenue and worked our way through downtown - our bad moods disappeared. I think it's pretty much impossible to be in a bad mood in a city that pumps out so much good music and great shopping.

I guess my only complaint is that things are a little pricey, but after a few beers and tons of great music, you won't care. (Until the next day, when you're hungover and check your bank account.)

Definitely visit Second Avenue Shopping District, you won't be disappointed.

Hello, I have been in Nashville a few times. I like to shop for touristy items. This time I went into a shop called Cotton Eyed Joe's on Broadway and Second. The salespersons did not even look at us, especially the older one. When I went back in to exchange an item she said nothing could be done but wait for the manager who was due back two days later (after I left!). She went on and on about problems re exchanges. I told her I worked in retail and usually salespersons were smiley and tried to please the customers, and that all salespersons I knew could make exchanges... One would think she didn't want us in there. So much for a nice commercial attitude....

Restaurants, Wildhorse Saloon, Hard Rock Cafe, Hooters, Coyote Ugly, Spaghetti Factory etc., etc. Lots of great eateries, hard to choose. Lots of bars if you get thisrty. Boot, and clothing stores, souvenirs of all kinds. If you like to shop the Second Avenue Shopping District is the place. You can find some bargains if you look.

Lots of shops, bars and restaurants. We liked the wide sidewalks and we hear they close off the street in the summer until 2:00 a.m.

You can find anything here in this area. Music is made by amateurs on the street giving a jovial feeling. Come here and spend the day.

The downtown area is very walkable an this street has something for everyone, including food and shopping. They have done a sensitive and tasteful restoration of this street. It's close to the waterfront and the pedestrian bridge as well. I love Nashville!
