I am aware that robberies has happened in Hadleys Park, I am also aware that robberies has occured in all local parks at some time or another, unfortunately there is no 100% security in no park, regardless of it's location.

Wow! What a wonderful experience. The park is nice, easily accessible, with adequate free parking (unlike other parts of the city). The festival offered a very interesting display of African art, clothing, and cultural artifacts. While the various booths offered wares for sale, there was music and other demonstrations going on at the same time. As visitors to the city, this park and their program was so good, we would come back to Nashville next year when the park hosts this event again. My mom was honored during the celebration as one of the 5 oldest women present in the part at the festival. She and the other women were brought on stage and honored with handmade quilts created by the children who frequent the park recreation center.

It's a lovely little park, with a bandshell (which, to my knowledge, is never used), a nice playground, and an indoor swimming pool. Lots of shade, and plenty of picnic tables. There's a branch of the public library in the park as well. Unfortunately, it's in a high-traffic, high(ish)-crime area adjacent to Tennessee State University, so it sometimes attracts a less-than-savory element. My family has had no problems there, and my kids enjoy the playground, library and pool.

This park is located in the middle of a run down side of town. A old friend of mine was shot and robbed in this park. There is nothing to do here either. It is not even a pretty park to look at it. Don't go, waste of time.
