If I could give this bar 10 stars I would.... We had just came from a horrible experience at Loosers( great name for it) ,read my review on it...
We were walking down Printers Alley and I came across the nicest guy who for some reason I felt compelled to vent to about our experience at Loosers. Turned out he was the manager, his name was Nate. The nicest human on the planet.
After we talked he told me that he was determined to turn our night around which he certainly did. We went to this club and were treated to the most amazing music and the kindest people and had such a great vantage upstairs to see the band play, we loved this place so much we went back on Sunday to see who was playing, another amazing band and cajun food. I can't say enough nice things about Nate and the bar. It would be my go to place if we come back and I will tell everyone about our experience at Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar.
Class act, Nate.... thanks so very much for turning our night and our time in Nashville around.

The night we were here, the music was positively great. We planned on staying for around 30 minutes and stayed for over 3 hours (and canceled our dinner reservations at another restaurant). The service was wonderful, the drinks good and the entertainment fantastic. I can't wait to go back!

Went to printers Alley looking for a jazz/blues place without the craziness of Broadway....we were assured this was the place to be. The band (early evening Saturday) was good and entertaining but definitely not playing blues now jazz ....but ZZ top and other rock hits. So while it was a good time, it was not what we were hoping to hear. The one waitress serving the entire main floor was excellent.

We had a great evening, I meet a friend who had dinner (I just had drinks), and really enjoy the bad. Whitey and the band were great on all levels playing a range of blues, rock, and modern country styles. He is also a great entertainer making the audience laugh through the evening.
Per my friend the food was good, the beer was definitely cold and there were several local choices in addition to the standards. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. A great experience all around. Can’t wait to return.

We were looking for some live music other than C&W and we found it at the Bourbon Street Blues Bar. Not a big place, but a funky placed and the music/band was great. Not a bad seat in the house. Our server was fantastic. It was busy but she was on top of things all night long. Food is your typical bar food in Nashville so you have been warned.

We visited early in the evening, so the singer was the "warm-up". She was a very good, entertaining singer. We just had drinks which were reasonably priced. Our server was very attentive, checking on us often. We did not order food because it was mostly "southern fried".....not good choices. The only blight on the evening was a young, drunk couple at a table near us who were drunk, fighting and cussing. Our waitress seemed to be a friend of theirs who tried to calm them down, but never asked them to leave. It was very distracting.

We had a great time here...we went late night for the music and drinks. The drinks were so-so and overpriced, but the music was great. The group was heavy on brass and could likely play anything blues and rock.

This is a must do. We went on a Saturday and the place was packed. We did see a table with a reserved sign on it so maybe you can reserve in advance if you want a seat. We stood upstairs around the railing and had a great view of the band and crowd. Music was awesome! Great vibe and I would definitely return on my next trip to Nashville!

This was the first bar we went to when we went to Nashville so we didn't have anything to compare it to. It was a really divey, honky tonk place in a cool sort of way. The music was entertaining as were the few people that were there at the time. It was happy hour so we ordered drinks that we asked to use well liquor. We each had two drinks thinking it's happy hour how much can it be, well the server never told us they did not have "well scotch" so we did not get happy hour prices. The cost was $40 which to me is not happy hour cost! Lessoned learned on our part.

You don't expect a cool Blues bar with an underground feel in Nashville, but here it is. Great entertainment, good drinks, lots of fun. If you're looking to get off Broadway for an evening check out this place in Printer's Alley.

Looking for some advice... I'm going to Nashville with a group of my friends on Thursday (one of them is turning 60). Wanted to reserve some seats so that all 5 of us can sit together. What are would you say would be good? Upstairs along the railing is already booked, so was thinking in the back corner (T12 area) or by the end of the bar (two seats there, with 3 seats across along the rail C1, C2 C7/8/9). If the T12 table area, what 5 seats would your recommend?
Really appreciate any help you can give me! ;)

We really enjoyed downstairs at the bar...the end seats closer to the door you enter.

This place is real casual but if I was going with a group I would want to see if I could reserve. I would say this place is more for drinks and enjoying the music as opposed to eating, although we didn't eat there ourselves.
