This was the first bar we went to when we went to Nashville so we didn't have anything to compare it to. It was a really divey, honky tonk place in a cool sort of way. The music was entertaining as were the few people that were there at the time. It was happy hour so we ordered drinks that we asked to use well liquor. We each had two drinks thinking it's happy hour how much can it be, well the server never told us they did not have "well scotch" so we did not get happy hour prices. The cost was $40 which to me is not happy hour cost! Lessoned learned on our part.

If I could give this bar 10 stars I would.... We had just came from a horrible experience at Loosers( great name for it) ,read my review on it...
We were walking down Printers Alley and I came across the nicest guy who for some reason I felt compelled to vent to about our experience at Loosers. Turned out he was the manager, his name was Nate. The nicest human on the planet.
After we talked he told me that he was determined to turn our night around which he certainly did. We went to this club and were treated to the most amazing music and the kindest people and had such a great vantage upstairs to see the band play, we loved this place so much we went back on Sunday to see who was playing, another amazing band and cajun food. I can't say enough nice things about Nate and the bar. It would be my go to place if we come back and I will tell everyone about our experience at Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar.
Class act, Nate.... thanks so very much for turning our night and our time in Nashville around.

We had a great time here...we went late night for the music and drinks. The drinks were so-so and overpriced, but the music was great. The group was heavy on brass and could likely play anything blues and rock.

Went to printers Alley looking for a jazz/blues place without the craziness of Broadway....we were assured this was the place to be. The band (early evening Saturday) was good and entertaining but definitely not playing blues now jazz ....but ZZ top and other rock hits. So while it was a good time, it was not what we were hoping to hear. The one waitress serving the entire main floor was excellent.

This is a must do. We went on a Saturday and the place was packed. We did see a table with a reserved sign on it so maybe you can reserve in advance if you want a seat. We stood upstairs around the railing and had a great view of the band and crowd. Music was awesome! Great vibe and I would definitely return on my next trip to Nashville!

We were looking for some live music other than C&W and we found it at the Bourbon Street Blues Bar. Not a big place, but a funky placed and the music/band was great. Not a bad seat in the house. Our server was fantastic. It was busy but she was on top of things all night long. Food is your typical bar food in Nashville so you have been warned.

We happened on this place on a rainy Sunday and glad we did. Music was great and it was a fun dive bar. They didn’t have the upstairs open, so it was a little tight, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn’t get anything to eat, so can’t say how the food was, but the music was excellent!

Best bar I’ve been to in downtown by a mile. Low key, great blues, happy hour specials are really good, and while I didn’t eat, everyone said the food is amazing.
I went in for Happy Hour, Haley the bartender is the best I’ve seen here in downtown. Friendly, attentive, and funny all while being really busy. She and the others there make it fun and laid back. It feels authentic. Thanks to Haley and everyone there.

You don't expect a cool Blues bar with an underground feel in Nashville, but here it is. Great entertainment, good drinks, lots of fun. If you're looking to get off Broadway for an evening check out this place in Printer's Alley.

As we got there and paid for our table, we were moved without any word on why. They stated the owner can take any table he wants, so they moved us wherever they wanted. Halfway through our reservation as my wife went outside to get air, I went to check on her. I tried going back in and the lady at the front said I had to pay a cover charge. I told her I already had a table and I wasn't paying a cover and was told I wasn't going back in. I overheard her and the guests in line making fun of me and my wife. A horrible experience, but our waitress was great. I would recommend not going to this bar. Unprofessional by the owner and the front door Lady. Told my family I am an a**hole as they went to get my wife's purse. This is how they treat the service members of America.

Best seats for 5 people for a specific show in December.
Down? Up? Front? Back? We would like to make reservations soon.
Thank you.

Front row balcony. Call them and see if they’ll take a reservation.

Looking for some advice... I'm going to Nashville with a group of my friends on Thursday (one of them is turning 60). Wanted to reserve some seats so that all 5 of us can sit together. What are would you say would be good? Upstairs along the railing is already booked, so was thinking in the back corner (T12 area) or by the end of the bar (two seats there, with 3 seats across along the rail C1, C2 C7/8/9). If the T12 table area, what 5 seats would your recommend?
Really appreciate any help you can give me! ;)

We really enjoyed downstairs at the bar...the end seats closer to the door you enter.

This place is real casual but if I was going with a group I would want to see if I could reserve. I would say this place is more for drinks and enjoying the music as opposed to eating, although we didn't eat there ourselves.

I went in the evening, I personally wouldn't say it was at night time, drinking etc...
Maybe daytime.....??

Hi is there an entrance fee. If so, what is the amount?
Written February 7, 2017
I think we three just walked in - but possible entrance fee - for live music - but not more than $10 otherwise I would have remembered it.
Written February 8, 2017
Soooooooooo Sorry for the late reply, haven't been able to log on for ages.
The entrance was free the night we went....
