- Nick WTell City, Indiana460 contributionsDirtyWe had an enjoyable morning here even though it was crowded. We were able to play at Dave and Buster’s and dine at The Macaroni Grill. We also shopped at several stores. The mall was dirty, however. Trash cans outside were overflowing, and there was much trash on the floor inside.Visited January 2023Traveled with familyWritten January 3, 2023
- Cindy B6 contributionsLots to do at this mallIt was snowing several days of our trip to Nashville so we ended up at the mall. There are plenty of shopping opportunities. Escape Room, Dave & Busters, Bass Pro, Madame Toussards are also all located in the mall. It was very busy due to the outside weather but not too crowded. There were also lots of mall security around to make it safe.Visited December 2022Written January 9, 2023
- lterry913Childersburg, Alabama141 contributionsI hope they recoverI visited at the middle of the first phase of reopening after COVID shutdown. About half of the stores were dark and closed. Lots of markings to show you how to social distance. Not a lot of people but it wasn’t dead either. Nothing they could do about the problems, just have to abide my laws and do what is best for public safety. Still disappointing though, even if expected. I wish them the best and hope all stores reopen soon.Visited August 2022Traveled with friendsWritten January 27, 2023
- Corrine RClovis, New Mexico985 contributionsWanderingsHuge Mall, tons of stores. I visited in the middle of the day on a Tuesday and it was quite empty. So slow even Madame T's mentioned they might close early due to lack of customers. But this mall boast some pretty cool stores that are great just for curb appeal and window shopping, being Bass Pro Shop, the Aquarium Restaurant, October Fest themed Restaurant, and some interesting decor near the cinema area. Some good selections at the food court, but also full sized restaurants attached inside. Another perk is many shops offer military discounts as advertised.Visited February 2023Written February 12, 2023
- Jerry CrawfordLos Angeles, California296 contributionsHUGE "outlet" mallHUGE mall with a ton of stores, a lot like Mall of America, but without the indoor amusement park. Ironically enough, there used to be a theme park where "Opry Mills" now sits, but it was torn down for yet another mall. You would think that Gaylord would have had the foresight to copy Mall of America and keep part of the park inside the mall or reconfigure parts of the old park and incorporate some of the rides and attractions into the mall when it was built. Nope! Residents were NOT happy when Opryland was closed with little notice and demolished to make room for "Opry Mills".Visited April 2023Written April 11, 2023
- Mark GCatonsville, Maryland3,279 contributionsExcellent Mall/Shopping/Dining DestinationSitting on the spot of the old Opryland theme park, Opry Mills is the largest mall in Tennesse with over 200 stores and 20+ restaurants. Anchored by Bass Pro Shops, it is vibrant and doesn't seem to be suffering like many malls around the country most likely due to its location in such a huge tourist area. Opry Mills has a great mix of recognizable retailers and unique restaurants like the Bavarian Bierhaus, Paula Deen's Family Kitchen and the Aquarium Restaurant. Also, there is Saltgrass, the Rain Forest Cafe, the Cheesecake Factory and some fast food restaurants. The location next to Music Valley, the Gaylord Opry Hotel and Covention Center and the Grand Old Opry is golden.Visited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 29, 2023

- Betsy CCarrollton, Texas75 contributionsGood mall - but monitor your teensWe went to the mall as a family to burn time on a long road trip home. My teens were immediately given wrist bands and I was told to stay with them at all times. They were not happy about it and neither was I. We eventually left and went somewhere else where we could get a break from each other. Aside from that, there are tons of stores and lots to spend money on at the mall.Visited June 2023Traveled with familyWritten June 2, 2023
- Brenda UKansas103 contributionsPleasantly surprised !Most malls seem to be run down with lots of closed stores but that is not the case here. It was nice to be in an updated space with lots of choices for shopping. And, there were lots of customers. We just went here while we waited for our Grand Ol Opry Show, but had fun. Got a new Kate Spade purse :)Visited June 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 1, 2023

Straight Ahead Scam! I purchased a hot comb from this place in the mall. It’s the little side stores in the middle of the mall which sketches me out. this lady that sold me this was named Jennifer (which was probably not even her real name) and was all sweet and convincing how great this product is. i was so mesmerized by this straighter that i had failed to realize that the one i bought and the one she showed me and used on my hair are two completely different things. Got home and figured out it’s a fake and apparently people’s same straighter MELTED. I had told her i wasn’t wanting to spend so much on a straighter since i had one almost just like it. She proceeded to try and make me deals saying stuff along the lines of “can you keep a secret” and telling me that she made her money off Commission and that she would use some of her commission to knock the price down. which sounded to good to be true but i unfortunately was a victim of this scam that is happening to people every single day in Opry Mills Mall. I don’t even see how this is even aloud and is just sad people make money off scamming people.

This was a very boring shopping outlet. We bought nothing. Of all the outlets we’ve visited in the US, we found this to be the most boring! There was no atmosphere and the clientele seemed rough, as in we actually didn’t feel that safe! We didn’t take any photos, which kind of says it all, as we always take pics wherever we go. Wouldn’t visit again!

Check your freedom at the entrance. Armed "security" ID check at each entry point, to ensure that "no unsupervised youth" be inside...sounds good if you imagine unchecked gang members terrorizing families while shopping, but in practice, I witnessed nice young families being ID'd and harassed at the entrance with kids (preschool age). Once you are allowed inside, be prepared to be asked to leave almost every business unless you are masked...no exception. I realize that private businesses reserve the right to implement policy as they choose, but I also reserve the right to determine my own safety practices and not be persecuted continuously while trying to leisurely enjoy an evening out Christmas shopping. I will not return.
Just a side note, the "unsupervised youth" thing isn't foolproof...my wife and I had to avoid an 8-10 year old on a hoverboard who almost ran us over multiple times. We finally just stopped and allowed him to disappear down the hallway before continuing, so what's the point of all the restrictions at the entrance?

Ordered from lunch menu. Also ordered the add on salad. Charge for add on as indicated on menu was 2.99. Server brought bill and charged 3.99. I questioned the 3.99 charge and was informed I was wrong. Paid bill. On leaving the restaurant I picked up the menu. The add on charge was 2.99. Reported this to hostess/staff at the front of the restaurant and the response was it must be wrong in the system and she would report it. No offer of refund.

Each time I visit the area; I take a trip to this outlet. It's great that the mall is enclosed and offers family-friendly options to keep the group busy while we shop. There are good restaurants and stores that are clean. There is plenty of parking available.

Loved this mall.... all inside... warm, dry, lots and lots of shops, lots and lots of food places from food court to sit down restaurants, even a carousel! You can walk to the Opry Land Hotel if you are capable of walking and you can also park here to attend the Grand Ole Opry.....

Opry Mills in Nashville is a great place to go for all things shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. I really like everything that they have available here and you have everything that you need all in one location. I have had a really good experience every time I have been here.

Large indoor outlet mall. Not all stores are outlets so beware. But there is plenty of stores to choose from and lots of dining options. You can get some good deals. Traffic in and out can be a bit crazy during busy times. At the end of the day it’s a big mall but nothing exceptional so I have to just rate it average.

does the opry mall have wheelchairs or scooter for the elderly

Yes, they do have both. Wheelchair and motorized versions. There is a rental fee if I remember correctly. Check with guest services as soon as you get there. Also, remember that due to COVID-19 that this may have changed a bit. It is a massive facility, so I would recommend getting those to assist you. Have a safe trip.

Opry Mills Staff, We are planning a visit very soon and I'm concerned over the number of complaints about the aggressive kiosk workers. All of your responses are simply "thanks" instead of anything about what is being done to curb this behavior. I dislike being hounded while shopping and honestly and considering not adding this to our stops because of the complaints. Can you confirm that any action has been taken to keep this from happening repeatedly?

I moved here in February, I do notice the kiosks and the employees attempting to engage with foot traffic. But, honestly it’s not that bad, in my opinion. Haven’t experienced any “hounding” at all. Finally, as I walk through the mall on a weekly basis I simply don’t pay any attention to kiosks and focus on myself or the company that’s with me. And currently, every time in Opry Mills I have a pleasurable shopping experience and will continue to visit here. Hopefully this helps!!
