The people that work here are very helpful. We were working on genealogy and the gentleman that worked in that area was very helpful.

We are residents in a neighboring county, so we pay a fee for use of the library. The downtown library is big and growing. I am especially impressed with the children's section. You must see to appreciate. The main library offers many services and programs for all ages.there is lovely outside courtyard on the second floor. The small restaurant/ coffee... More

A wonderful place for all ages. A beautiful building with access for all. We especially enjoy the children's section and special puppet shows.

This building is worth a stop in! Hot days it is great for a cool off. The building is three stories high with beautiful marble staircases, a wonderfully inviting children's area and a great civil rights area on the third floor not to be missed. Also the courtyard in the middle would be great for fall or spring days. We... More

While waiting for an appointment, we ducked in to catch up on a few books and remembered when Gene Hackman was here on a book tour several years ago. Lovely live music at lunchtime on the balcony and helpful staff.

It took us a bit to figure out how to get in from the parking garage, but inside it is a grand building. Huge open rooms and marble staircases. It felt more like a historic house than a library. It would be a great place to relax for a few hours amongst the books.

Nashville has one of the finest public libraries in the nation. If ever given the chance to go, stop by and you'll see what I mean. There is always something new going on there. It's also a beautiful library with an amazing staff!

We enjoyed stopping in here during our time in Nashville! The librarians were very friendly and they had self help catalog computers everywhere. Lots of comfy places to sit and fun things to look at, including a huge grand reading room with tons of light upstairs.
