Solid country music, authentic setting

In a few words, I'd say this is Nashville in essence in a family-friendly setting. You can go to the Ryman or the new Opry House....which I fully recommend you do, but you can... read more

In a few words, I'd say this is Nashville in essence in a family-friendly setting. You can go to the Ryman or the new Opry House....which I fully recommend you do, but you can get the essence of old time country music and the homey feel of a band and audience coming together to enjoy something they both love. The... More

We had experienced this hilarious hijinks twice when they were in Chicago at The Royal George....it was really that funny. Happy to see it again with family and friends in Nashville and it is still a great evening of country music parody and over the top humor. Get there early to grab a table.

Excellent band. There is a cover charge to get in but thought the band was worth it. Would come back

We came here last night and saw Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley. The Station Inn was just around the corner from where we stayed. Rob and Trey play here about once a month. The two sets were fantastic. Their first album, "Before the Sun Goes Down", was a Grammy Nominee (Bluegrass Album). Terrific music in a small setting. Only way... More

If you like music, the Station Inn is a must on your list of things to do while in town. We visited on a Sunday "Bluegrass Jam". Doors opened at 7 pm; line started forming around 6:00p. Plan on eating ahead of time, as there isn't much to offer in the way of food. But that's not why you come... More

The Station Inn is a quaint music venue located in the Gulch area of downtown Nashville. You can just feel the history when you walk in. It's not a big place so arrive early. They serve beverages and basic food (pizza & popcorn). There is usually a cover charge. There are music venues all over Nashville, but the Station Inn... More

One of our first stops on our trip to Nashville, we made The Station Inn a "must see" on our TO DO list. Monday night features true, seasoned pickers Carl Jackson (vocals, guitar, banjo), Larry Cordle (guitar, vocals), Doug Jernigan (classic pedal steel), Catherine Marx (great honky tonk piano) and newcomer Val Storey (the sweetest voice in town) along with... Original, historical, never changing, iconic best describes this place. One level with low ceilings, barely elevated stage, pitchers of beer and food menu from the previous century takes you back to a different Nashville. Sit in on a Bluegrass Jam session in the middle of the week to complete an awesome step back in time.

This is a little hole in the wall nightclub. What it lacks in style and grace it more than makes up for in entertainment. I go every chance i get to enjoy the music. It is bluegrass by the way. Not for the faint of heart. This is hardcore B/G music. You never know who will walk in to catch... More

I had heard about the Sunday night Bluegrass Jam and The Station Inn while prepping for our trip to Nashville. We arrived a little early and thought maybe we were going to be disappointed. Sure enough the crowd began to arrive and more musicians arrived as well. Pretty soon it was just an old fashioned music jam with familiar musicians... More
