There's not a big area here that calls out "Fort!" to everyone walking by. It is a little encampment kept in period condition and historically valuable. Good tour, good stories. Worth seeing!

We were walking along the river and came to Fort Nashborough. It looked cool from what we could see through the slats. It was boarded up. Looked like it had been closed for a while.

We had no idea this was closed to the public until we got there. Under construction. Kids were disappointed. But on the bright side got some really cool shots of the stadium across the river. And the old spaghetti factory is just around the corner...really...More

Free. By the water with an amazing view. Next to downtown Nashville, walking distance to everything else you would want to experience. Actual visit was February 2011

Closed. Can see from the street and close to the river front area. Looks neat from the outside but we were really bummed when we got there to find it still closed.

I hope to visit this site one day but upon this trip to Nashville it was closed for renovations. I was dissapointed but we did stumble upon a Mardi Gras Festival at Riverfront Park upon trying to get to the fort.
