I was visiting Nashville and needed to run 8 miles for my training program. The Shelby Bottoms Greenway was beautiful! There were deer everywhere and lots of very nice people. I went early in the morning and was nervous about running before sunrise, but there were lots of folks there and it was very safe.

5 minutes from downtown on the Eastside. Lovely lake and great walking trails. There is also a bike rental station, tennis courts and a dog park. Also picnic pavilions, a playground and baseball fields. Great outdoor experience.

I am so glad we visited the Greenway! It was calm, quiet with few bikers, joggers and walkers on the trails. Kiss loved watching the trains crossing the bridge. The nature center is spacious with few hands on activities for kids an clean, heated restrooms. There is bike rental station right at the center! I regret we spotted it after... More

Left from downtown hotel on bicycle and headed toward Shelby Bottoms park via the bike trail. What a magnificent bike ride and very well marked. While riding came across 2 deer, various birds and very nice people, biking, walking and hiking. You can also drive out to the park and walk many of the wooded trails.

Made the very short drive to this Greenway Trailhead on a Sunday while just out exploring Nashville. What a treasure to have right in the heart of the city right outside of all the nightlife and entertainment of Broadway. Escape onto the trails and you will feel like you are a million miles from everything in the midst of nature.... More

We walked 4 miles to Shelby Bottoms because we read so many good things about this park. We weren't disappointed! Beautiful, well planned trails, we were pleasantly surprised. We wanted to go back more but after walking 12 miles the first day our tootsies were a little sore. It's a MUST if you like to walk, bike or run.

The green way is beautiful. I was a member of Raven wood golf course before it became part of the park. It is a beautiful piece of property that you may want to explore. My wife and I have biked the greenway to the Cumberland River Bridge. The pastures, bridges across the Stones River and the Cumberland offer views like... More

I needed to get my dog a good walk while visiting Nashville and found Shelby Park and the Shelby Bottoms Greenway. The Greenway was awesome and peaceful and had a number or stretches that were right up against the river. The trail is well maintained and is surrounded by a green canopy for most of its length. There is a... More

This park could be excellent, but needs trash clean up. Beautiful setting. You can walk for miles along nice trails. There are streams and other areas of interest. Also connects with other Greenways.

Spent a few hours on our trip to Nashville on the greenway. Visited the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center then biked to Cumberland River Park and Pedestrian bridge. Kids played in splash park (12, 10, 2). Rode bikes over bridge them back to Shelby Bottom. Ride all the way to 2 Rivers greenway. Totaled 15.5 mile bike ride but could do... More
