Gets a little crazy down there but that is why you go to Lower Broadway. Great music and drinks. Easily walk from one venue to the next. Get wait to get back.

Downtown Nashville (called The District) is a hopping place with honky-tonks, boot shops, lots of bars and restaurants, tour busses and much more. Traffic is busy, construction is going on and the streets are full of tourists, day and night. Plenty of things to do (check Tripadvisor) in all price ranges. Also here are the Bridgestone Arena, Ryman Auditorium, Frist... More

Love Nashvegas. Great alternative to the standard destination for drinking fun. Broadway has something for you! Loved taking in the Southern charm and culture of the city. That's what puts it above Vegas. Highly recommend!

The Music City is just a great place to wander with no destination in mind. Something to grab your fancy or whet your whistle with every few steps.

We mostly visited the downtown honky tonks on Broadway. Had a great time. Beer prices are a little high though ($5- $6 in most places) but overall a wonderful experience.

If you are coming outside of downtown, tell the taxi or bus driver to leave you somewhere on the northen area, maybe in Union street. The start exploring the downtown little by little until you get the Broadway street for a burger and live country honky tonk music. Downtown is not a huge area but its vibrant and American. Of... I loved it!!! Our hotel was downtown and we walked everywhere. So much to see and do. Even my youngest niece and her boyfriend had a wonderful time. And she does not like country music.

There is a lot to do for all types. Day things for families and plenty of nightlife for others but if you aren't staying downtown and have to park be prepared to pay. We paid $20 for the day until 5pm and that's the cheapest we saw. We ran out if time and didn't get to visit everything we would... More

I have to say, I much preferred Nashville of en evening than of a day. I found of a morning, with the heat and the spilt alcohol on the street from the night before, it could smell a bit of stale beer which isn't the most pleasant thing first thing. But its nice to walk around, and a great night... More

You don't have to live country music to love downtown Nashville. There's something for everyone. Whether it's people watching, bar hopping or just window shopping, you're sure to have a good time. We just stopped in Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville and ended up closing the bar down.
