Apparently downtown Nashville used to be a rundown collection of honkey-tonks because there are unfortunately more than a fair share still there. At some point in the past however, it looks like a lot of new buildings were constructed like the Bridgestone Arena, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the convention center. That may have forced the majority of... More

Enjoyed a great day in downtown Nashville. We were traveling to NC and spent a day and night in Nashville. Great local bars and stores. Bought some cowboy boats, visited Country Music Hall of Fame which is spectacular and saw Big & Rich in a free concert. NHL FanFest was in town and it provided great free entertainment. The downtown... More

Known for its country music, Nashville for our family was so much more; the food scene and the southern hospitality is outstanding. Areas like "the Gulch" or "German Town" are well worth it.

You can seethe ATT building, known as the Batman building, because of it's building top. Since Nashville is the state's Capitol, there is a beautiful capitol building, and nearby parks, ect. Nashville has a great Farmer's Market, many museums, a great public library, and a fun downtown area. Always something to do!

We visited 4 establishments on Broadway St. One had a cover charge of $6.00, line dancing and really good food and drinks. The other 3 were free to enter. The dueling piano bar was a fun place to visit. Honky Tonk Central was a good place to visit, a different band on each of the 3 floors. Tootsies was where... More

We were here for business and had the opportunity to go to the 2016 NHL All Star Game. After the game we hit Broadway street. I was happily surprised with the music, bar food, and southern hospitality!

Enough to do for a wide age range. Candy shops and music for kids, bars and music for the young and old, museums for the cultured (my favorite was Johnny Cash.) Even if you can't afford to go in museums or don't have the time, you can still visit the gift shops and enjoy the history they have on display.... More

Didn't know what to expect! Loved the ambiance! As a first time visitor, I wouldn't know where to start. Tons of places with music. Do some research before heading out!

Like most cities there's a ton to see and visit. My stay was short and sweet but the great experiences I had and the people with their natural southern charm left me begging for more. I'll definitely be back for a longer stay.
