Avoid this place at all costs if you want to actually see a concert on time. Said the doors were open at five and 45 minutes later they opened three doors for almost 10,000 people to get inside this rundown dump. We missed the first act and barely made it to the second.

Minimal security are rude and inept. Minimal bathroom facilities with doors that don’t lock in the ladies room. This place is outdated, overrated, and my one star makes it overrated.

Came to see Greta Van Fleet and the acoustics were awful! Felt really bad for the band and ourselves. Saw them at the Fox in Atlanta and they were amazing and sounded incredible, but this place just sucked the joy right out of most of us. Couldn't understand a thing they said. Soooo, disappointed!

i came here with my friends for a bassnectar concert on july 13th, 2019. we came about 30 minutes before the show started and the security were extremely rude upon entering. they not only threw my one pocket draw string bag away but my empty water bottle away (both approved by the nectar team to enter). they were also telling my friend she couldn’t enter because of the outfit she was wearing (she wasn’t naked only had a body suit on, her butt was covered by her pashmina). the same thing happen to another girl as well. during the show they continuously harassed us (same people who we got searched by) and did not harass anyone else but us!!!! i’ve been to 25+ venues and this one was by far the worst one yet. i will not be back. the fact they kept telling us we needed to move from where we were standing 5+ times almost ruined the show for me. half of my friends left early because they were so fed up. one didn’t even go in so he could get our stuff out of the trash can and hang onto it till we left. when i asked if i could leave my stuff outside they said “nope! we’re throwing everything away” and laughed at me. this place is a joke. never ever again. do not come here. 0/10.

We arrived at the venue before 7pm for an 8pm start time. We did not get into the venue until 8:30pm. We missed all except for 2 songs for the opening act. They held us up outside and would not let anyone except for General Admission in until 7:30-7:45pm. That is 15 minutes to try and get hundreds/thousands of fans in before the opening act. This is ridiculous. I am not sure everyone was even in the venue when 5 Seconds of Summer actually came on the stage just before 9pm. This is VERY disappointing and the venue should NEVER hold another concert. I will never go to another show at that venue....EVER

I, along with my husband and teenage daughter, attended the Paramore concert at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium on September 7, 2018. The concert was absolutely amazing. Immediately following the closing, the cleaning staff entered the floor area with large broom sweeps and literally began chasing people out of the auditorium with the brooms. It was absolutely pathetic. We had a staff member follow us pushing his broom wherever we went, trying to push us out the door with the broom and telling us to go to a particular door. My family and I because of his extreme rudeness began to run to another door to try to escape this man, as we didn't know if his actions were going to turn violent because of his attitude. As we did, we saw another staff member yelling rudely at a group getting a picture after the event to stop and leave the premise. The group was doing absolutely nothing wrong. They were not causing a disruption. They were simply getting a picture. We will not be back to this Auditorium. Rudest venue staff I have ever experienced. Ruined a great night!

Went to the Lana Del Rey concert and was so disappointed in this venue. Bathrooms are tiny and scarce. No food vendors - just popcorn and pretzels.

We saw Thompson Square. I’m not sure if this was an anomaly for this venture, but seating was unassigned. We got into the 4th row on a $28 ticket. The seats were uncomfortable and crammed together. Bigger guests complained. There was barely room to get in or out of your seat too. Good sound. Beer was sold inside the auditorium and food was sold just outside the auditorium (overpriced). The bathrooms were dirty and barely had toilet paper. Long lines. Only four or five stalls.

We were here on May 6th to see Judas Priest. Even though this venue doesn't open the doors until an hour before a show starts, we got in pretty quickly. We were in 2nd row on the floor and the seats were really good. I was surprised to see that if you are in first row, they ck your tickets and give you an armband to be sure its easy to see if you belong there. This did keep people from trying to sneak up to front row. Venue seemed fine overall, but the food and drink prices did seem high. Would definitely go back here again for a show.

Jeff Beck, Paul Rodgers & Ann Wilson headlined a triple bill on the 'Stars Align'tour that visited Nashville at the venerable Municipal Auditorium!
This is an older venue one will quickly see. Likely built in the early 60s, the Municipal does not come with the full compliment of amenities found in modern halls.
However, this is a place worthy to see a classic rock show! In most occasions there is floor chair seating and theater seating in the upper bowl. One will find better lines of sight upstairs...and perhaps a food view on the floor for less unruly acts! Most of the time shows at the Municipal are more cost friendly and just plain easier to get in and out, but this is part of dealing with the new Nashville TN!
For the sheer history and the character, see a show here...be aware again this is an old school venue, but worth a visit.
The Nashville Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum is located at the Municipal Auditorium which hosts ongoing exhibits, this is separate and has it's own hours and admission cost!

I was expecting much worse after reading reviews. The two main things I read complaints about were the smell, and parking. Yes it is an older venue, but we did not notice and smell or mustiness. It is a small venue so pretty much all seats are very good seats. I didn't see where any seat was a bad one. The venue had great sound and was easy to get around in. We saw The Cult, Bush and STP. As far as parking, we Ubered to the venue and were dropped off right in front. When we left, we called for an Uber and there was one right outside the door. Piece of cake and almost cheaper than parking would have been anyway. Again it is an older venue, and unlike newer facilities, there are not enough women's restrooms. That would probably be my only issue. I would certainly go see a concert there again.
