"The Bluebird Cafe is one of the world's preeminent listening rooms and has gained worldwide recognition as a songwriter's performance space where the "heroes behind the hits" perform their own songs; songs that have been recorded by chart-topping artists in all genres of music. Located in a small strip mall outside of downtown Nashville, the tiny 85 seat venue is unassuming in appearance but some of the most significant songwriters and artists have performed on this stage.

My wife and I had a great time at the Blue Bird Cafe. It was set up for an 'In the Round' performance of Nashville song writers. Each songwriter performed 4-5 of their own songs, while accompanying the others as they sang. Each told stories about their songs and life in Music City. It was both an interesting and very... More

My sister-in-law watches the TV show, "Nashville" and wanted to go to The Bluebird Cafe, depicted on the show as a place where singer/songwriters go to 'let their hair down' and just play without pomp and circumstance. I watched a few episodes just so I'd know what to expect, but frankly, I knew she'd be disappointed since Hollywood has a... More

Very intimate atmosphere. I was thrilled to be able to experience the Blue Bird. Drinks were reasonably priced. There are no bad seats.

I have never seen the show "Nashville" but the Bluebird came recommended from a few friends and the reviews online. I reserved a table for 2 a week in advance when reservations open up (definitely recommend getting a table up close). We arrived and were seated right away at a table touching the "round". We went to the early show... More

I will start by admitting that I first heard of The Bluebird Cafe through the Nashville television series. It was only when I started my search that I realized this cafe is quite an institution, catapulting more than a few artists to fame. With that said, I highly recommend that tickets be purchased in advance, a not so easy task... More

Despite the fact that the Bluebird has skyrocketed to fame following the many appearances on the hit TV series "Nashville" this phenomenal little "listening room" is just that - phenomenal! If you are lucky enough to get in...to *any* performance, consider yourself one of the priviledged few. And, chances are near 100% that your see a great "intimate" performance by... More

Feel like I was let into a family and friend birthday party words can express what we have felt tonight. Well worth getting in the electronic queue 12 hours before and then crossing our fingers.

Do not show up in this strip mall parking lot unless you plan to waste at least 2 hrs of your life, to be turned away or just buy a t-shirt. PLEASE think twice about going to the Bluebird. On a Monday the line is at least 2 hrs and then they tell you it may be another 3 hours... More

We visited on a Sunday evening when it is first come, first serve at the Bluebird Cafe. The doors opened at 5:00 and we arrived at 3:30, to find we were already 25th in line. The cafe only holds 90 so get there early or go on a night when you have to have tickets The food at the cafe... More

The Bluebird Cafe is a see when you are in Nashville. Scoring a ticket is rather difficult but sometimes possible. Almost everyone who is now famous in country music or who will become famous has performed here at least once. I think the writers nights are best for you get to see and hear the person who actually wrote the... More
