"The Bluebird Cafe is one of the world's preeminent listening rooms and has gained worldwide recognition as a songwriter's performance space where the "heroes behind the hits" perform their own songs; songs that have been recorded by chart-topping artists in all genres of music. Located in a small strip mall outside of downtown Nashville, the tiny 85 seat venue is unassuming in appearance but some of the most significant songwriters and artists have performed on this stage.

From the TV show you'd expect this to be a busy Honky-Tonk. NOPE Out of the way hole in the wall at a strip mall far away from "downtown". I had no idea of who was going on stage, they were GREAT. The place was packed and I was glad that we got there early. We got a first row... More

Famous place many know it from the TV show Nashville, we waited 1.5 hours standing in line to get in and we're lucky to do so. Music was great, people tightly packed in.

Only in Nashville for two days, quick stop on our way home. Being a fan of the show Nashville my daughter got us reservations to a show. I can not express how awesome this experience was for me and my daughter. Very small inside. Only 90 people allowed in. Musicians in the round. up close and personal. On this night... More

We went for the third time last night. We took in a Blue's concert at the 9:30pm time slot. This is a must see when in Nashville. The young guy at the door was a bit stuck on himself and snobby when we asked him to clarify a question we had when he let us in early to see the... More

Doors open at 5:00 pm but you should be there by 3:30-4:00 to stand in line they only have 90 seats. We arrived at 4:40 and couldn't get in

We went to open mic night on a Monday. We were unable to get tickets to any other shows due to the extreme demand. We arrived at 4:00 for a 5:30 door. Security ran us off and were very rude. They won't let you queue until 4:30. So we went up the street and returned at 4:30 to total chaos.... More

Thanks for your review and for bringing the rudeness of the security guards to my attention. I will be speaking to their supervisors today. It is true that we ask people not to line up before 4:30PM on Mondays - that is out of respect for our neighbor businesses who, prior to that "rule" found that folks wanting to attend... More

Fortunately we were able to make reservations online, they sell out in minutes! It was so enjoyable! The performers were so talented, and it was fun to hear stories and see the interaction between different types of artist. Everyone was friendly, and overall a very pleasant evening.

My boyfriend and I came to Nashville for the weekend. He loves music, not country isn't his favorite by a long stretch. So I was a little nervous that he wouldn't like the Blue Bird Cafe. We showed up at around 4:45 for the early show since I was unable to get tickets (next time I will wake up early... More

I advise going here and go early. The musicians are amazing and well worth the wait. Have a drink and stay a while. Make a reservation if possible. Go go go!!

Was lucky enough to secure tickets to the July 2nd 6:30pm show. Bill DiLuigi, Will Nance, Kristi Manna and Scott Southworth delivered our best night of entertainment in Nashville without a doubt! Loved the small, intimate, cozy venue that afforded all of the entertainers the chance to interact with everyone in the audience. All of the wonderful performers even stayed... More
