"The Bluebird Cafe is one of the world's preeminent listening rooms and has gained worldwide recognition as a songwriter's performance space where the "heroes behind the hits" perform their own songs; songs that have been recorded by chart-topping artists in all genres of music. Located in a small strip mall outside of downtown Nashville, the tiny 85 seat venue is unassuming in appearance but some of the most significant songwriters and artists have performed on this stage.

We were in Nashville just for Sunday and Monday night, the nights you can't buy the tickets ahead of time. Still had bluebird in out bucket list being music lovers and visiting Nashville for the first time from Puerto Rico, so we decided to head there for the late evening Sunday night show. We had read about the wait and... More

We were so glad to visit this iconic, Nashville location. It's definitely a tourist attraction (the singer asked if anyone was from Nashville and only one person raised his hand). This did make me wonder -- where do the locals go? However, we saw a great show, up close and enjoyed every minute. We visited on a Sunday when they... More

I loved that we were able to enjoy an evening at the Blue Bird Cafe. We went on a Sunday night which means no reservations. The secret is to show up early and enjoy the wait. Our weather was perfect and we made new friends. The singers were great and good was good too. Just remember to show up early... More

Just FYI. My fiancé and I arrived at ~3:45 for the 6 pm show (doors open at 5) and were among the last to get in. We drove right up and parked in front (it appears most people Ubered or parked in the garage across the street). Most people who got in were already in line but ~7 additional people... More

I'm not sure if this was a go-to place before the TV show began recording here, but it certainly is popular now. A very small room that if you don't reserve seats (we didn't) you have to queue outside early - only first 10 get in. Having said that, it was quite fun to queue and chat to the others... More

There are a very limited number of seats to the venue, so you must follow a que system on line on Monday at 8 AM for a Saturday show. Forget it. It's impossible to use the que system and get a seat even if you follow the rules. Apparently there are either people who can fill the que with multiple... More

We made our reservation at the week in advance mark and it worked out great. We were able to waltz past the line to our prime viewing table. Really enjoyed the four songwriter/entertainers. They told stories about their songs, ribbed each other, and sang and played backup for each other. Food and drink are pretty basic but reasonably priced, so... More

We don't know much about country music, but loved our trip to the Bluebird. A great intimate venue and the four guys we heard had great voices as well as wonderful songs and audience interaction. The most intimate venue I've been in. Make sure to be online as soon as tickets become available for your preferred date...very popular! Our date... More

After trying to get tickets on-line for a Saturday show, with no luck, we opted for Tuesday instead - not really caring who we saw but we just really wanted the experience. The directions on the web site are very clear about how to get tickets and it was nice to do this in advance knowing we wouldn't have to... More

Get there early!! We went on Sunday during MLK holiday. We attended the early show at 6. We got there at 3:45 and were about number 20 in line. We got in no trouble and were able to get a table right by the stage. People who got there at 4:15 -4:30 were too late and they didn't get in.... More
