Nice way to spend a day. New exhibits are being built and promise to be a much nicer place to visit. Very clean and employees very helpful. Well organized

We went on a Tuesday. Didn't know that there are NO animal encounters or shows offered on Tuesday. Because of construction, several animals were off exhibit. Not much to see while we were there. We ate at the cafe and wish we wouldn't have. The turkey avocado club doesn't have avocado slices as you think it would...just a green avocado... More

Love the kangaroos and the unseen world is good for a hot or rainy day. Lots and lots of walking. My granddaughters love going here!

We stopped at the Nashville Zoo on our way back home from vacation. I've been to bigger zoos, and this one was pretty average. The exhibits are being renovated, which is great for the future, but not so great for right now. Exhibits are pretty spread out as others have said, so be prepared to walk. On the bright side,... There's some exhibits not open. This place is happening. They're expanding and gonna be even better. There's a trend among zoos that I believe in and I want to see it come true. It's called enhancement. Yes, these animals live their lives in cages. Trapped. Wild and adjusting, not tame, but not ever again free. The animal enhancement programs give... More

Went in June with my sister and niece as a birthday present for my daughter...between admission, riding the carousel and the zip line she dropped a hundred dollars...FOR WHAT??? Many exhibits that are supposed to be open in the spring still aren't done...if you want to see birds, you're in luck. Went in August as a company picnic... No telling... More

The Nashville Zoo is a decent zoo. They were in the process of renovating some of the exhibits, so, some of the main animals were not available. But that's ok. They were fixing up their homes. I don't know about the food ( we didn't order any) but the drinks were expensive. And the items in the gift shop was... More

We have been to Zoos all over the United States, so have lots to compare. While this zoo is beautiful, the actual animal exhibits are severely lacking. There are very few animals here. There is a lot of construction going on so hopefully they will be adding more. Lots of walking, with not much to see.

Had a choice of this zoo or Knoxville, I should have picked Knoxville. A lot of walking.. What there was to see was nice and well managed. But unfortunately 3 main exhibits where being upgraded. The elephants, Spider Monkeys and Bears. So the vast distance between exhibits was increased by the closed exhibits... Since I don't live (by any stretch... More
