The tale of two Broadways! If you want to quietly explore, come late AM/noon..
If you want to experience it for what it is worth, come late afternoon into the late night.
There is a little bit for everyone! You have the slower paced places (Margaritaville, always found a spot, with great acoustic music) to the high energy partying at most other places!
It is well patrolled and clean! We had an amazing time and enjoyed every minute of it!
To write a bad review because you saw people without a mask, well, personal responsibility, research it..

I travel the country for work. I stay in hotels sometimes 250+ times a year. If there was an award for the best bar in a hotel this place would win by a long shot. It's honestly one of the better; more intimate places to relax with great drinks from Mike and Derrick with live music from one of many talented artists they have nightly. I can't say enough about their staff. There's a thousand places in Nashville that serve alcohol. It's the staff/bartenders that set you apart from the crowd. I would rather relax having a great crafted cocktail here than many of the overcrowded unauthentic bars on Broadway. Being at the opening of Printer's Alley this is a must stay place in Nashville. Close enough to the touristy Broadway but separated enough you're not bombarded with bachelorette parties and nonsense. 10/10 will and have recommended to friends and family for their next Nashville trips.

This is a hopping part of town filled with restaurants, bars, boot store and even the Johnny Cash Museum and Restaurant. There is something going on all the time. They say New York is the city that does not sleep but the Nashville District comes close. Midmorning after a walk on the bridge, we found plenty of bars and cafe with live music. This is not my cup of tea (been there at night), but I enjoyed walking around and peeking in and listenings. Parking is an issue. It is expensive and not plentiful enough. We parked up the hill, past the Old settlement buildings along the river. There were quite a few homeless people and also solicitors. Probably a good place to watch your wallet and purse. If you like a lively environment, liquor, cafe food, and loud music and are young at heart .... this may be the place for you.

We walked the entire strip of bars during the day. It smelled in places, and there were homeless, but not intolerable. A few bands were playing. I wasn't excited. I expected more somehow. If you're a drinker, you'll live it, yet go broke. Parking was inconvenient, and the city felt like wall to wall concrete. It wasn't attractive overall, and a few blocks were all there was to it. Kind of like a poor man's Las Vegas. Most restaurants had long lines, and many restaurants had mediocre reviews. Be prepared to wait for traffic lights on every corner if you're walking. It was OK, but not awesome like the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Broadway is sensory overload., especially the Kid Rock venue which should be cited for noise pollution. The bands perform mostly covers from rock hits and r"ockify" the country they do play. I can get that in Los Angeles!
The streets are narrow and sometimes smelly. Nashville should wash them every morning like is done on Bourbon Street in NOLA.
It is a unique experience though. Don't miss Printer's Alley.
We enjoyed upscale eats at Jane's Hideaway. Go for Happy Hour and taste a Bourbon you may choose not to afford otherwise.

First time in Nashville (Broadway) and weren't sure what to expect. Very busy foot traffic at 1:00 in the afternoon with many loud playing venues. The shops were far too small for the heavy customer traffic and it was hard to look for anything worth buying. I don't know, maybe we are getting old but trying to circumvent loud and unruly people doesn't appeal to us. I guess it is something we can cross off our bucket list but walking on a beautiful beach listening to the waves is what we view as fun and relaxing.

During covid times, I felt apprehensive walking down the crowded streets with no one wearing masks. Even during the day, it was a raucous place. I popped my head in a few shops and stopped for a minute or two to hear some music through open doors and windows, but I was too guarded to actually venture inside with the unmasked masses.

I did not expect a busy bar scene at 2PM on a cold and windy Friday! Broadway was a mass of people and bars. Young men were riding around on "pedal bars" where they sit and drink and pedal around the streets. Young women were on party buses. No wonder people have alcohol problems and are fat. We didn't go in any stores or bars. Too noisy, crowded and kind of gross.

Due to Covid-19 most everyone was masked and practiced social distancing as much as one can in a huge draw tourist place. I loved this as compared to Beale Street in Memphis. More country music, less soul. All interactions with locals were friendly. Lots of young wannabes around. If we were young again and back in our drinking days this would have been even better.

Had a blast!!! What a great place to visit. Honky Tonk Bars on the main strip were just awesome. Start at 10.00 am in the morning until the early hours. Great sightseeing bus. Red River Bar - learn some line dancing or Texan Three Step just fun!!!

Find a place to park and explore the area on foot. Walk across the pedestrian walkway which crosses the river, then walk around the Nissan stadium. Come back across and walk around 2nd Avenue and find a great place for lunch. Check out the shops and the Johnny Cash museum. Have fun in downtown Nashville!

Ok, I'm confused. Is Music Row, Printers Ally, and Ryman Ally all the same? We would like to visit the museums and go at night to listen to the music. We'd like to stay somewhere close,so we won't gave to drive. Any recommendations? TIA

It’s all downtown and within walking distance of each other. If you selected a place to stay in the immediate downtown area you would be good to go. Have fun. Nashville is one of the most fun cities to visit.

What the best place to stay near all attraction in Nashville and easy parking please
Written March 26, 2017
Nashville hotels are a little pricy, its a popular destination. We got a great deal near the airport and everything was 15-20 minutes away and easy to reach, minimal traffic. We are going back and got a decent deal near Grand Ole Opry, which is about 15-20 minutes from downtown. Downtown is compact, theres a lot to see and do. Use a city run parking garage, its cheaper than some of the lots which charge $35-40 a day. We paid $15 max. Very convienent too. Google inexpensive parking in Nashville, and youll see theres lots of garages that are fair priced.
