The show itself was absolutely incredible. Prices for snacks are absolutely gouging, water shouldn't cost $5 for aquafina. I ordered disabled seating near the front of the auditorium only to have the venue change and my disabled seating revoked. When I asked I was told that I could sit in the very back for accessibility. They wanted me to go from 4th row to last which was unacceptable. The disabled shouldn't have to suffer worse seats than payed for because an auditorium isn't disability friendly.

I was really lucky to be able to go see Hamilton during its run here, and I couldn’t help but notice that the theatre was really nice. A nice sleek design, very clean. Leg room wasn’t a problem for me and the workers were very friendly. I hope to come back in the future! I highly recommend this place!

My husband got us Hamilton tickets for Christmas. We live in Knoxville so we drove to Nashville and stayed overnight. We stayed at the Hermitage hotel which was right across the street. There were other hotels and parking nearby. We walked over at showtime. Hamilton was the best play I’ve ever seen, really, and the theater was very nice. We had no problems entering or finding our comfortable seats, and we could hear and see well. My husband did splurge so we were close to the stage. The whole trip was fun and a great gift. I am going to do this again! We had such a wonderful time!

My husband and I were on a road trip and our starting point was Nashville. My husband had been wanting to see Come From Away, about the planes that landed in Gander, Newfoundland after the FAA grounded all flights coming into or out of the USA when 9/11 happened. Unfortunately, it was in our area when we were on this road trip, but I found it Nashville. We loved the musical. The musical was in the Andrew Jackson Hall. The hall was very nice. The bathrooms on the balcony level were in a strange spot. But the seating was comfortable. The only downside is the balcony seating has aisleways only on either end of the seating. Nothing in the middle, so we were up and down alot.

Continue to be blown away from the Broadway seasons you host. Have been coming to TPAC for decades and want to thank-you for such a wonderful performance space. Just returned from a London theater trip in time to see Hamilton this past Saturday~~did not miss a beat. TPAC stands up to the West End in my book!

I have seen numerous live shows at TPAC over the past several years (Phantom of the Opera, To Kill a Mocking Bird - repertoire theatre, The Producers, and Wicked, to name a few). Most of these shows I've seen in Jackson Hall. TPAC provides an affordable venue for live shows in Nashville.

If your show is in Jackson Hall, the best seats are orchestra level, in my opinion. Depending on the show, middle row seats in the first and second tiers of the orchestra level can be purchased for $60-$80 per person. (I actually will not see a show at TPAC [or anywhere else] unless I am seated in the orchestra since I enjoy seeing the expressions on the actors' faces.) TPAC provides a full bar for those wanting to partake in adult beverages during the show. Before the show begins, the bar on the main level will take your order for intermission and have your drink waiting for you at intermission. Drinks are not inexpensive, but that's not a surprise.

Ladies, the bathroom situation is not great during intermission. From Jackson Hall, you must walk to bathrooms downstairs. While there are several stalls, due to the volume of people, the line is LONG. You can make it back prior to the close of intermission, but don't stop to chat or get a drink as you will be late getting back. There is one accessible female (and one accessible male) bathroom on the Jackson Hall level located at the top of the orchestra level but there is only one stall for each. The most recent show I saw was The Addams Family in January 2012, and I was in line over 20 minutes waiting for this one stall. This bathroom is handicap accessible so if any feeble person comes to stand in line, she will be sent to the front of the line by the bathroom attendant. When I was there for The Addams Family, a very overweight lady walked up and said she was out of breath from walking to the bathroom. This infirmity put her at the front of the line.

Parking is not good downtown. My husband drops me at the door, and he parks. He usually has to park a block or two away from TPAC but he's young and in shape so no problem for him.

Another poster wrote that shows at TPAC are not the full production you will see on Broadway . I can say that I saw Wicked at TPAC in 2010 and on Broadway in NYC in 2011, and I could tell no difference in production. Almost identical.

All-in-all, it's a great place for a live show.

My husband and I went to see Madea on the Run at TPAC. I have never laughed so hard in my life. We seat in the grand tier area and had a perfect view and the sound system is also amazing. One small con or a wish is parking is far and a parking garage connected would be nice, for very cold days like this weekend. I was wearing heels and had to walk a couple blocks in the old, but the show was worth it. My husband went to get the car and picked me up after the show.

My wife has always wanted to see the Broadway musical Phantom of the Opera. I purchased us orchestra seats for tonight’s performance. In a word, AMAZING!!!
The theater is in the heart of downtown Nashville and it’s a beautiful place to see a show. The performance was fantastic...

My first time here and we watched a Chinese cultural dance/music show. I loved the show and I know this review is not for that. The TPAC needs some renovations. The staff and everything was very nice and friendly but the auditorium is kind of trashy. We sat first row by the Orchestra. There is a very ugly, not well built wall blocking the orchestra and it's about eye level high while seated so it is kind of distracting. The carpets and very run down, they have rips in it and it is very dirty. If they did some upgrades to the auditorium I imagine it would be beautiful. They also serve drinks and snacks but there are no cup holders so you either balance the drink on your lap or put it in the floor to applaud or give a standing ovation.

TPAC, for a long time, was sad. I avoided it for many years because of its poor acoustics and less-than-desirable seating. After a recent show, I can say that the acoustics and sound are much-improved. However, the seating and viewing angles still have much to be desired. We were in good shape for the production we saw, with a fairly central seat. However, off to the sides, you lose sight of some of the action, and it makes for awkward viewing. When I went to get concessions during intermission, I waited in line for most of the intermission, and ultimately had to abandon it because the only attendant for that level was so slow with the patrons in front of me. It's still the best (only) place in town to see major shows, but there's still room for improvement.
