I have been here several times in the past years. What happened? The street along the park is closed off and bumpsters everywhere. Homeless people are everywhere! My 12 yo daughter and I didn't feel safe walking in the middle of the day!! This was her first experience and she asked why I brought her here because it was filthy and nasty. On the bridge she threw her ice cream away and said she had lost her appetite! My heart breaks knowing what this place used to be.

Depending on which side you access there’s different things to do but it’s definitely picturesque. Bring your camera! I didn’t get to go to the bridge because we had reservations at the restaurant but I’ll share some of my lovely pics.

This gorgeous little park is just off of the main strip of Nashville, and is well worth the few extra steps to take a quiet little stroll. You'll get a gorgeous view of the river, and enjoy a brief moment of peace and quite away from the rowdy bar scene of Broadway. My one of word caution, is that the park also provides a quite place to sleep for Nashville's sizable homeless population. They keep to themselves, and I've never seen them be a problem, but their presence will definitely be felt.

Take a loan out if you want to drink beer and bring your Id. Even if you are 103 years old. Seats are not too bad cup holders in front.

Sunny and hot saturday with boat races happening along the river. The place was packed with people and we would have joined had we had more time to spare. Easy to get to and close to all the downtown restaurants/bars.

Its a great place to stop and relax along your walk down Broadway. Lots of seating on grassy areas, overlooking the Cumberland River, River boats, and Nissan Stadium (NFLs Tennessee Titans) .
While we were there there were musicians playing for everyone to enjoy and it was a safe clean plan to relax for the whole family. Vendors have ice cream and other treats for everyone to enjoy.

If you get a chance to catch a concert here, do it! They have concerts on thursdays in the summer, and during CMA week. I bring blankets early to claim prime seating on the gentle sloping hill. As the sun sets, the pedestrian bridge lights up and the General Jackson paddle boat appears. Vendors usually set up a perimeter for convenient food/drink, merch shopping.

I love going downtown to the Riverfront Park. On days the weather is nice, I find my way down to sit on the benches along the water. Christmas, New Year's, and the 4th of July always offer spectacular music and fireworks. Nashville has some of the most impressive fireworks in the south. I like the free concerts especially the Thursday night events that take place in the summer.

I like this park. It is inner city and far enough off the main part of Nashville that it catches most of the seedy side. I love the concerts there, but when there's nothing in particular going on, hanging out is a challenge for anyone not homeless, hapless or dopeless.

This is a beautiful park located right at the end of Broadway. You can walk along the river, and see the stadium across the river. There is part of an old fort and a lot of signs telling the history of the area which is interesting. Unfortunately we walked in the morning and there were a LOT of homeless people hanging out just waking up for the day. No police presence in sight. I wouldn't walk or run alone.

Is there a boat ride to Gaylord from the Park

Hi! We will be in Nashville 10/4 and 5….can you tell me what the daily parking fee at Riverfront Park would be at that time? And should we get parking tickets ahead of time? Thank you
Written September 12, 2016
Parking anywhere around that area is expensive, $20 or more. That area of Nashville is so walk-able, there is a free electric bus system that runs across town, you could also try valet at some of the hotels close to town, maybe their prices are better.
