The summit is not very commercialized and hence its nice to go up and have fun when it snows. Remember that you must check snow portability before you go because there is nothing else to do up there. Also if its going to snow then...More

Visit to the snow for tobogganing at Mount Donna Buang early July but there was only minimal snow. Not enough for the kids to toboggan but enough for snow fights. Beautiful views for the look out at the top of Mount Donna Buang.

The lookout was all made of metal. We walked on the stairs, 6 stores high. Once at the top, we had perfect views. It was amazing! It was as if we were in the Amazon! Wherever we looked there were lots of beautiful tropical trees....More

This is the highest mountain within 1.5 hours drive of Melbourne, and one of the closest places where you can see snow at the right time most winters. The drive there is beautiful. I recommend stopping in Warburton, redwood forest and/or rainforest gallery on the...More

According to the info site, the closest would be Ajay’s in Heathmont, which is not that near. However, chains are rarely needed in Mt. Donna Buang due to its low altitude.
