I was really keen to go on this walking trail as I read about it online, and saw recent photos etc.. however was really disappointed to see how overgrown the train track was. The height of the grass was at hip height with no view...More

The walk begins at the Trentham railway station. The first 10 minutes of the walk is in full sun but the rest is shady and a gentle walk. We only saw a few others on the trail. Take plenty of water and some snacks. Different...More

It doesn't get much more idyllic than this easy several hour stroll through the woodlands of Trentham. Flat, easy walking all the way to Lyonville. Shame you can't catch the train back though ;)

The walk from Trentham to Lionville is easy, flat and very pleasant. Walking through pine and eucalyptus forest, with lots of birds, and the unusual sight of Alpacas on the path made our walk pleasant. We parked at Trentham station and walked to Lionville, hoping...More
