We want everyone who visits to have a moment out of the ordinary. This philosophy extends to everything we do. A warm welcome. Finely crafted wine. Food that feeds the senses and the soul. Our chef's hat rated restaurant. A beautiful and bountiful property growing grapes, olives, fresh produce. A diverse and engaging setting for sculpture. We hope you love our little piece of paradise as much as we do.

Couples, friends or families, everyone can enjoy the experience. The wine tasting is awesome, nice selection and good advice. The restaurant offers a good service a menu based on seasons and what they grow in the garden. If you prefers something different, try the picnic bucket in the vineyard. Before leaving, don't forget to have a walk around in the... More

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Montalto Restaurant. The service was outstanding, on a very busy day providing attentive, friendly and helpful service throughout the meal. The food was as always excellent and paired nicely with estate wines. The duck is highly recommended. We took the opportunity to both taste wines and walk through the sculpture garden. Wine... More

My husband booked Montalto for our lunch date on my birthday. It was the most awful wet winters day but we were very comfortable sat at the window watching the rain and hail sweep across the pretty view. We settled on the 5 course chefs selection menu. All the food is grown on premises or sourced as locally as possible.... More

Stopped in for an early lunch and local wine. Beautiful spot, easy to find and the cafe menu was great. The haloumi and olives were fantastic. There's a heap of wineries around red hill so you could easily make a full day out of it.

Montalto, on the Mornington Peninsula, is an architecturally pleasing building features rammed earth walls, plus floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the surrounding vineyards, olive groves and pastures. the menu benefits from the use of the organic kitchen garden, Montalto Estate's own wines and olive oil presenting the most delicious seasonal dishes. they also have varieties of wine and I bought four... Delicious food! Lovely staff... It was my partners birthday so they surprised us with a candle and happy birthday written on his dessert. Those little touches are the things that make you want to come back. Stand out dishes were the smoked eel and the duck! amazing!! Will definitely be back!

What more can one want than to spend a sunny Winter's day sitting down to a delicious shared lunch with a friend. Dined on the bread and oil dip, olives, squid, eggplant...and all washed down with a glass of bubbles. Delicious. The choc mud cake for dessert was the only let down - very average. Great gardens to walk around... More

The winery is gorgeous as compared to the others I've been to (yering, Rochford and Dominique). It is modern and clean and has great food options and souvenir shops selling unique household and kitchen items. The olive oil is also really tasty and goes well with bread with free tasting.

Whilst many places were closed on a Tuesday in May, montalto provided the setting, the ambience, service and great food to make a birthday lunch everything it should be. We both had the mushroom entre which was lovely followed by the roast lamb and duck which were flavoursome and beautifully cooked. The side of brocollini was a great addition. The... More
