Seems the local businesses are focussed on themselves rather than the customer, most disappointed ☹️

Visited on Sunday 18th June. It had been awhile since my last visit to Queenscliff and was delighted to see what they had done with the harbour here.

I never really bothered visiting Queenscliff for years, felt it was just a bit boring, not much to see or do, but since the Harbour has been opened up....that has all changed. I take all my out of town visitors down to Queenscliff now. Its absolutely Wonderful! The walk along the Marina, the cafes, the boats/yachts, it just so nice and relaxing (although I'm sure in summer a little busy, hehe) I've even taken my elderly Mother and she loved it, there is a lookout that you can take the lift or stairs to the top, and see views all around the area, Swan Bay, Point Lonsdale, Sorrento you can even see to Melbourne, and watch ships entering the Heads and the Ferry crossing the bay to Portsea/Sorrento. (It is actually where you can catch the Ferry if you are doing a day trip to the other side of the bay.) It has really made Queenscliff a must see location for travellers and a credit to the Bellarine Peninsula, great location to go fishing or just site seeing,

I just want to highly recommend this town. Having visited it first and staying in the very grand Queenscliff Hotel 30 years ago, I see how it has changed without losing its character. That's quite breathtaking.

The history is worth discovering, from the Fort to the Rip; there are many stories to discover. The wonderful buildings are mostly intact and some effort going into restoration too. Take the time to use the beaches, walk the pier past the Waiting Shed, and consider the new marina area, choc-o-block with eateries and million$ boats! Worth discovering, or as in my case, returning to.

The tower has a lift allowing for disabled access. The views are great. The harbour is mainly a marina and restaurants. The icecream place had nice scones and jaffles. Toilets are up the far end from the tower - a long walk. There only appears to be three disabled parks in the area and whole parking area is limited so I would recommend you get there early. By the way, the 360Q Restaurant was closed when we were there and appeared to have gone out of business.

Arrived from ferry and found easy access out of harbour, lovely part of the world, I can highly recommend travelling across from Sorrento to Queenscliff if heading down to Great Ocean Road from Mornington.
