For something decidedly different and entirely enjoyable, Queenscliff's legendary Blues Train is one of Victoria's most spectacular entertainment and dining experiences. The Blues Train departs Queenscliff between the months of August and May, offering a unique musical meal and show. With a capacity of 200 (50 in each of the four carriages) it has become enormously popular as a function venue and can accommodate and provide catering for parties of one to 200 people for a unique dinner and show - including weddings, birthday parties, corporate functions, christmas celebrations and special occasions. The Blues Train event begins at the historic town of Queenscliff. Patrons tuck into a hearty meal prepared by our Blues Train caterers. Drinks to take on the journey are available on the platform from the T-bar in the guard's van, open at each of the four stops. At each stop revellers swap carriages to find a new band tuning-up ready for the next act. One of the carriages only has seating running along each wall. The seating arrangement and up-beat music in this carriage leaves little option other than getting up for a bit of a boogie. But you don't have to dig the blues to enjoy the Blues Train, you just have to be open to a really good time. The Blues Train runs along the old Geelong train line, stopping in turn at Suma Park historic homestead and winery, and then at Drysdale before turning around and making its way back to Queenscliff, again via Suma Park. The Blues Train has hosted many great musicians since its inception, including Aussie blues legends Jimi Hocking, Chris Wilson and Lloyd Spiegel and Aria Award winners Collard Greens and Gravy and Mia Dyson.

What a great night out. If you enjoy Blues you will love this. The meal is a bit ordinary and overpriced. The entertainment is great with lots of fun. Best enjoyed if you go with a group ie family or friends. Stay overnite in Queenscliff at one of the several hotels or nearby caravan park. I have been 3 times... More

The whole idea of the Blues Train is out there: 4 carriages, one act per carriage, all different. At every stop, punters move up one carriage. It's fun, it's different, the performers are top class, everyone is having a good time. A great way to spend the evening.

Not only did I have the awesome opportunity and experience of being on the blues train, but I got to play on it with Claude Hay!! This is by far the best gig I've done in a long time. Hugo is awesome and the staff and hospitality was second to none. A great unique idea that inspires you in so... More

Went on the blues train last night with my fiancée. If your even considering doing this please do yourself a favor and do it. It is a fun filled and very entertaining night well worth the drive and the cost. I agree with other reviews the meal itself is very average bit like a spit roast catering type of meal... More

Not knowing what the expect as it was my first time on The Blues Train, we started off with a couple off drinks, then the meal and then we left the station with some acoustic blues till the first stop, then onto a funky blues carriage, then onto a full blues experience with Sammy Owen and the boys, then mellowed... I have read all the 'terrible' rating reviews, and I agree with everything that has been said. I would not recommend this "event" to anyone. Queenscliff is an amazing place, and there are much better options available. What a pity the beautiful old train is used for such a tacky side show.
