For something decidedly different and entirely enjoyable, Queenscliff's legendary Blues Train is one of Victoria's most spectacular entertainment and dining experiences. The Blues Train departs Queenscliff between the months of August and May, offering a unique musical meal and show. With a capacity of 200 (50 in each of the four carriages) it has become enormously popular as a function venue and can accommodate and provide catering for parties of one to 200 people for a unique dinner and show - including weddings, birthday parties, corporate functions, christmas celebrations and special occasions. The Blues Train event begins at the historic town of Queenscliff. Patrons tuck into a hearty meal prepared by our Blues Train caterers. Drinks to take on the journey are available on the platform from the T-bar in the guard's van, open at each of the four stops. At each stop revellers swap carriages to find a new band tuning-up ready for the next act. One of the carriages only has seating running along each wall. The seating arrangement and up-beat music in this carriage leaves little option other than getting up for a bit of a boogie. But you don't have to dig the blues to enjoy the Blues Train, you just have to be open to a really good time. The Blues Train runs along the old Geelong train line, stopping in turn at Suma Park historic homestead and winery, and then at Drysdale before turning around and making its way back to Queenscliff, again via Suma Park. The Blues Train has hosted many great musicians since its inception, including Aussie blues legends Jimi Hocking, Chris Wilson and Lloyd Spiegel and Aria Award winners Collard Greens and Gravy and Mia Dyson.

Second time on the Blues Train and wont be the last. Had a great night. What a fantastic concept and what a great success. Bands were exceptional. Will have to make the Blues Train an annual event.

Unless you're a die hard blues fan there's not a lot of praise I can give this attraction. Only one bar serving 207 passengers at each station. Moderate prices. The meal was tasty enough but there was not enough of it. Only one slice of meat and a small piece of chicken per person. One small bread roll. Small potato... More

Book now people!!! Not only for lovers of blues. Overall an awesome and different Saturday night experience with friends. Each carriage has different Acts and you change throughout the night. Musicians are talented so worth the price. Anyone who loves live music will love this experience. Downsides (and there are a few): no toilets on train, so at each stop... More

Great music, lots of fun, fantastic atmosphere, lots of dancing, very enjoyable but there are some things which could be improved. Don't expect anything great regarding the food, better eat something before hand. The quality of the wine which you had to buy was questinonable and overpriced. During the waiting periode before you can board the train, there was limited or... More

What a great night out. If you enjoy Blues you will love this. The meal is a bit ordinary and overpriced. The entertainment is great with lots of fun. Best enjoyed if you go with a group ie family or friends. Stay overnite in Queenscliff at one of the several hotels or nearby caravan park. I have been 3 times... More

The whole idea of the Blues Train is out there: 4 carriages, one act per carriage, all different. At every stop, punters move up one carriage. It's fun, it's different, the performers are top class, everyone is having a good time. A great way to spend the evening.

Not only did I have the awesome opportunity and experience of being on the blues train, but I got to play on it with Claude Hay!! This is by far the best gig I've done in a long time. Hugo is awesome and the staff and hospitality was second to none. A great unique idea that inspires you in so... More
